【FRI 12.04】THE HUTONG YELLOW WEASELS+SQUARE DANCE胡同黄鼠狼乐队＋方块舞

The Hutong Yellow Weasels are China’s only old time American music and barn dance band, using fiddle, banjo, upright bass, guitar and sweet vocal harmonies to perform traditional folk, hillbilly, bluegrass andgospel music. The band teaches audiences how to do several traditional Americansquare dances during each show. The Weasels have played the Guinness Wood and Wire Festival in Shanghai, the Jue, Dazefeast and JingJam festivals in Beijing,and performed in 8 cities across China. And tonight they are coming to Modernista, come for the fun night of dancing and sing-alongs.

胡同黄鼠狼是一支由几位北美友人在北京组建起来的老式乡村/方块舞舞曲乐团，乐队擅长演绎一些二战以前的传统乡村音乐，并带领观众在音乐的伴奏下跳起方块舞。他们运用乡村小提琴、班卓、吉他、低音提琴等乐器，配以优美的和声，来演绎诸如美国传统民谣、山区音乐、福音音乐以及蓝草等多种不同类型的乐曲。

从乐队组建至今，他们的演出活动多次被北京City Weekend杂志选为编辑精选。闻之起舞的节奏、质朴的阿巴拉契亚山的旋律，唤起怀旧的夏夜情怀。无论在哪，胡同黄鼠狼都能带来欢快的跳舞狂潮。
