Nothing better to say bye to weekend than relaxing, martini in hand, with some smooth jazz in our early evening Sunday Jazz series.

This time, we welcome San Francisco born guitarist Doug Martin, together with Xu Guangjun AKA "E.T" on bass and Claudi Azizaj on drums.

About the band

The Martini Trio consists of Jazz guitarist Doug Martin (SanFrancisco, USA), bassist Xu Guangjun (Tianjin, China), and drummer Claudi Azizaj (Athens, Greece)

 This ensemble is in the classic guitar trio format and performs a mixture of jazz standards, bossa novas, original compositions as well as the occasional Chinese melody. Coming from three very distinctly different countries, the members of the group try to bring together characteristics from their respective backgrounds and cultures to create a sound that is rooted in traditional jazz, but has a unique voice of its own.
