This Wednesday, Bone Lhamokyap and sound explorer Margaret Lao come together for a collaboration shaped by tribal roots, ritual, and electronic. Bone, a carrier of the endangered Shongomah tradition, brings ancestral melodies and evolving soundscapes. Margaret weaves in chanting and improvisation drawn from her travels through the Middle East and the Himalayan regions. Together they create music that feels ancient yet boldly contemporary — immersive, spacious, and charged with life. Come listen with open senses and step fully into the moment.

ABOUT THE ARTIST
Bone Lhamokyap, a professional musician and founder of the band SREINA, creates original music rooted in the traditions of the Shongomah (Sangemao) people, a nearly extinct Tibetan tribe from Zhouni Nalang Valley, Gannan, in Gansu Province. His music reflects a deep admiration for nature, peace, and the beauty of life. Bone blends ethnic sounds with electronic harmonies, playing instruments like the guitar, flute, and keyboard. He is also skilled in Kundalini meditation and chanting as well as crafting some of his tribal music instruments.
Bone has performed at numerous stages across Asia, Europe, and the USA, including the Shanghai World Music Festival. In 2016, he collaborated with Grammy-recognized producer Michael Starita at Fantasy Studios in California, producing singles like “Mother Earth is Crying.”
He has continued to tour internationally, including a notable summer Europe Tour in 2024, which concluded with a performance at Finland's Kosmos Festival. In October 2024 Bone has released his new EP which serves as the soundtrack for the upcoming movie by Laurence J. Brahm under the Shambhala Studio records, the new chapter of the ‘Searching for the Lotus Born Master’ series. Bone also received the ‘Best New Age’ award at Beijing’s Gate of Nine Dragons festival in 2024. In summer 2025, he was invited to perform at the Hokkaido World Music Festival in Japan.
拉木加来自甘肃的高原地区，他的音乐深受故土传统文化的影响，一个逐渐消失的吐蕃后裔部落三格毛人Songomah，三格毛人世代居住在甘南卓尼的山谷河流地带，为卓尼县原住民。拉木加的音乐之旅带他遍及了多地的舞台，从亚洲到欧洲及美国等地举办了多场音乐会参加过多场演出。音乐内容表达了对故土祖先万物的信仰以及对生命和平美好的追求，通过他深情的音乐向广泛的观众传递了爱的治愈。

•2015年10月参加上海世界音乐季
•2016年-2018年与格莱美音乐制作人Michael Starita合作，共同在旧金山海湾伯克利的Fantasy录音室，录制了单曲《Mother Earth is Crying》和《This Pitiful Life》《奶奶的记忆》等曲目
• 2019年，美国加州旧金山发起专辑宣传活动《When Mother Earth Cries》
•2021年，参加雪佛兰上海世界音乐节
•2023年，青藏高原首届电音节开场表演嘉宾
•2024年初欧洲小型巡演作品《生命没有目的There is no final destination》被美国电声音乐协会(SEAMUS)选入了纽约州纽约大学举办的“内心平静的声音景观”(soundscape of Inner Peace)上展示
•2024年7月 参加演出北欧芬兰Kosmos 宇宙艺术节
•2024年10月荣获北京九龙门地下音乐节最佳新世纪音乐奖
•2025年8月受邀日本参加北海道国际民俗艺术节

ABOUT THE ARTIST
Margaret Lao(Liu Xichen): a sound explorer wandering at the edges of the world. She has traveled to the Middle East, the Himalayas, and the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau, transforming the perceptions and energies from her journeys into sound and rhythm. Her music drifts between chanting, ambient, and improvisation, using her voice to open the senses and bring people into the present moment. In 2024, she released her first chanting album, "Mantra of Five Dakini of Five Elements," through Rolling Stone Records.
Margaret Lao 刘浠辰：游走在世界边缘地带的声音探索者。她曾踏足中东、喜马拉雅与青藏高原，将旅途中的感知与能量转化为声音与节奏。她的音乐游离在唱诵、氛围与即兴之间，用歌声打开感官，让人进入当下。2024 年，由滚石唱片发行首张唱诵专辑《五元素空行母》。
