Nathaniel Gao 高太行

(alto saxophone)

Nathaniel Gao is a saxophonist and composer who has been based in Beijing since 2006. He has been a key contributor to the local jazz scene as both a co-leader of the quintet Red Hand as well as a leader of his own quartet and trio. Additionally, Gao has been active in an eclectic range of other musical projects including Three Sergeants Syndrome, The Beijing City Big Band, Afrokoko Roots and Bu Yiding. He has performed at the Ninegates Jazz Festival, the MIDI Jazz Festival, the Ditan Park Music Festival, the Chongqing Jazz Festival, Jarasum International Jazz Festival and at major venues in Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou and Chengdu. Gao graduated from UNI in 2006 with BA in music performance and in 2011 completed an MA in jazz performance at the City College of New York.

高太行,2006年以来活跃在北京爵士音乐界的的萨克斯演奏家和作曲家。作为“红手”五重奏乐队的成员之一和他自 己的四重奏和三重奏乐队的主导者,他为北京爵士音乐做出了重要贡献。此外,他还积极参与了其他风格和流派的 音乐活动,包括“Three Sergeants Syndrome”,“北京城市大乐队”,Afrokoko Roots 和 “不一定” 等音乐团体。他参 与了“九门音乐节”, “迷笛爵士节”, “地坛音乐节”, "重庆爵士节","海龟岛国际音乐节"以及北京, 上海, 广州和成都等多 地的演出活动。高太行于2006年获得美国北艾奥瓦大学音乐表演学士学位,于2011年获得纽约城市学院爵士演奏硕 士学位。

SIMONE SCHIRRU

(Guitar)

Simone Schirru is a guitar player, composer and teacher. He graduated in “Jazz Guitar” Academy of Music “G.P. da Palestrina” in Cagliari, studying with M. Ferra. Afterwards, he got his master degree in Jazz Guitar at “Lemmens Institute” in Belgium studying with P. Hertmans, Frank Vaganée, Ron Van Rossum and Bo Van Der Werf. He joined the Master Classes led by D. Douglas, S. Coleman, Butch Morris, P. Metheny, A. Braxton, Muhal Richard Abrams, G. Fewell, Roscoe Mitchell, W. Leo Smith, John Scofield etc.

Simone Schirru 毕业于卡利亚里的G.P.daPalestrina音乐学院爵士吉它专业，之后在比利时Lemmens学院获硕士学位，并在大师班中学习，受D. Douglas, S.Coleman, Butch Morris, Pet Metheny, A. Braxton, Muhal Richard Abrams, G. Fewell,Roscoe Mitchell, W. Leo Smith, John Scofield等大师的指导。2005-2008年期间赢得Sant’anna Arresi 音乐节的最佳吉它手和最佳乐队奖项及奖学金，获得跟随G. Fewell(柏克利大学)和R.Cecchetto学习的机会。Simone是比利时著名soul乐队Manon Fire and the Soul Soldiers的成员，巡演至欧洲各地; 同时他也创立了自己的两支乐队“Invisible”和”Elegant people”，他也是拉丁爵士大乐队等乐团的固定成员，并参与剧场音乐会项目。

ZHANG KE 张柯

(BASS)

Double Bass和Electric Bass 手。居住在北京。 张柯从小在一个音乐团体的大院中长大，学习小提琴。但多才的他在大学时选择了学习美术，几年后毕业于西安美术学院。 音乐对于张柯始终是生活的重要部分， 在年少时对摇滚音乐的喜爱让他始终与音乐为伴，并且在接触了爵士乐后张柯自然地很快掌握了爵士乐的即兴理论， 而他挑选了现代音乐中节奏动感的灵魂乐器—贝斯。在重新回归音乐的开始，张柯来到上海，很快在上海的爵士圈成为当地乐手中经常被邀请合作的贝斯手之一。

Fiach O'Brian

(DRUM)

Fiach 就读于都柏林久负盛名的 Newpark音乐学院。师从于著名的爵士鼓演奏家 Conor Guilfoyle 和 Kevin Brady. 2010年毕业并拿到爵士鼓演奏的学士学位。他与国际艺术家Patrice Brun, Julien Colarosi, 和 Leopoldo Osio 一起完成了在爱尔兰和英国各地的巡回演出。他上过现代爵士大师 Jeff Ballard, Chander Sarjoe, Edu Ribero, Jim Black, Tom Rainey 和 Ralph Peterson 的大师课。2015年， Fiach 搬到北京来完成他更国际化的合作，目前在现代音乐学院任教，教授爵士鼓演奏、合奏和视唱练耳等课程。
Fiach studied at the prestigious Newpark Music School in Dublin under the guidance of esteemed jazz drummers Conor Guilfoyle and Kevin Brady. Having completed a BA in Jazz and Performance in 2010, he has been playing and touring extensively in Ireland and the UK collaborating with international artists like Patrice Brun, Julien Colarosi, and Leopoldo Osio. He has had the privelege of attending workshops and classes with modern jazz legends including; Jeff Ballard, Chander Sarjoe, Edu Ribero, Jim Black, Tom Rainey and Ralph Peterson. In 2015, Fiach moved to Beijing to make further connections on the international circuit. He began working at the Beijing Contemporary Music academy teaching private drum lessons, ensemble, and sight reading courses.
