Beijing local band Zhege are about to release their latest album 'Moonjive'. To celebrate they will be hosting some parties in Beijing... and you are cordially invited. Kicking off Thursday, July 6th, 9PM at Modernista, Zhege will be joined by multiple acts including: Joker's Belief, The 'Nathan, Rich and Marco' Trio and Dan Taylor. Great music, a great venue, great drinks could it get any better? Well it can! This event will be free entry, which makes the fun: ticket price ratio off the scale.

Zhege is a band of foreigners living in Beijing, and performing/ writing melodic, lyric driven pop music. Their music video 'So Fashion' was a commentary on the wacky fashion trends observed in China, and was enjoyed by many on social media.
The band is continuously composing and recording, relentlessly releasing new music on a regular basis.
The band has been described (by their imaginary friends) as:
'A symphony of angels singing a chaotic drunken lullaby' - Jeffery Gizzard
'Lovely' - Albert Einstein Jr.
'Their songs are better than anything I ever wrote!' - Beethoven (the dog)
JOKER'S BELIEF
Jesters and Jokers of medieval times were required to bring levity to the court and to meet the Kings requests. One Jester was required to entertain and amuse his King on demand, and if he failed, he was killed. The Jester lived - we call it "Jokers Belief”5 nationalities with 5 influences bringing you a fusion of funk, rock and Neo soul. Joker's Belief were signed by Kun Records in May 2016. Their EP is set to Launch towards the end of September, as well as playing some of the China's top Music festivals of 2016 and 2017.

The opening band of the night is formed by three accomplished
musicians that would prefer to surprise you with their sound, so we won't explain too much about them or give you pictures of their faces. You'll have to come early to discover. Just expect some bluesish folksome country kinda stuff :P
