We are trying to make swing nights at Modernista a little bit more exciting and special with monthly theme parties. This month's the theme is - JAZZ PICNIC, inspired by a magnificent event in New York, "Jazz Age Lawn Party". 我们尝试用每月的主题派对将老魔的爵士之夜办得更具色彩。本月的主题是“爵士野餐”，灵感来自于纽约备受瞩目的“爵士年代草坪大趴”。

Jazz Age Lawn Party is the world’s largest prohibition era inspired gathering. Many vintage enthusiasts dress up in the 1920s-30s style outfits, and gather on NYC’s Governors Island to enjoy a picnic, performances, jazz music and vintage dances.
爵士年代草坪派对灵感源自于全球有名的禁酒时期的聚会。众多复古爱好者身着上世纪20-30年代的服饰，聚集在纽约的总督岛，从而享受室外野餐、表演、爵士乐以及复古舞蹈。
We have prepared picnic blanket and baskets, a FREE PEABODY TRIAL at 10 PM, and a special DJ-set! All is left to do is to dress up in style and dance! 周三我们也准备好了野餐用的毯子和篮子，晚上10点还会有个一节免费的PEABODY舞蹈体验课，以及特别DJ曲目。您只需要美装出现和跳舞就可以了。
THE PEABODY
Peabody is a partnered early jazz dance, evolved from Foxtrot, and danced to a fast tempo Ragtime, Dixieland and Hot Jazz music. In England this fast version of Foxtrot was called the Quickstep. In America it was called the Peabody. Main feature of this dance is the position of the partner on the right and simple basic steps.
PEABODY（琵琶第）是一种早期的爵士搭档舞蹈，演变自狐步舞，主要是跟着快节奏的拉格泰姆音乐、迪克西兰和传统爵士。在英格兰，这种快版的狐步舞被称作Quickstep快步舞。在美国则被称为Peabody琵琶第舞。这种舞蹈的特点是舞伴错身而站和运用简单的基本步法。
