Parakeet brings you a cabaret of jazz fusion. With musicians from every corner of the planet, they play all of your favourites with a jazzy twist. From their striking front woman to their amazing local bassist, they have created a musical style that Beijing has never seen before. Their passion shines through in their solos, on-stage dance moves, and encores. 

Parakeet为你带来了爵士乐融合的歌舞表演。来自地球各个角落的音乐家，他们会用twist的方式来演奏你最喜欢的爵士乐。从他们引人注目的主唱到他们令人惊叹的本土贝斯手，他们创造了一种北京至今还没有体验过的音乐风格。他们的热情在他们的独奏、舞台上的舞蹈和安可中闪耀。

If you have ever seen any of their shows, then you know that Parakeet takes you back in time. Picture a smoky bar, vinyl records, drinking dry martinis, and swing dancers in their loose neck ties. Every song is both familiar and unique.

PARAKEET

Vocals: Kim (India) 

is a singer and songwriter from India. Trained in Choir music from a very young age, shestarted singing for the love of jazz and all things classic.

Keys: Thierry (France) 

was trained in the conservatory of Toulon, France before learning jazz music in Paris. He has played in many bands in Beijing and now hosts open mic at lush in wudaokou.

Guitar: Roberto (Italy)

started playing guitar since he was nine years old took jazz guitar lessons from the age of 14. He covers many genres of music and plays with many other bands around Beijing.

Violin: Samuel (USA) 

has been passionate about the violin since he was 9 years old. Graduated withhonors in music from colorado state university - violin performance. He has played with the Cheza string quartet and touredthe world playing many music festivals. 

Bass: Bae (China) 

trained at the Beijing MIDI music school and graduated with honors in music specializing in bass. He also has experiences in the performing arts but most notably loves playing jazz music.

Drums: Taylor (Canada) 

as been playing drums since he was 11 years old. He was part of the Toronto’s Royal Naval Reserve concert band and jazz. He has had experience with multitude genres of music including musical theatre pit bands to garage rock bands. But now he loves nothing more than playing jazz music.
