Fancy a taste of glamorous old Shanghai refinement? Join us this Tuesday for a very special photo booth in anticipation of our favorite Shanghai music night, and see how our qipao-clad models reproduce some famous advertising prints from the past for you to draw. As for this Sunday, you are encouranged to dress up, sip cocktails and visit Modernista as it transforms into a 1930's Shanghai dance hall thanks to the music of Shanghai Memories of 1945. There are two fantastic dates awaiting you this week, come have fun!

“When the moon is bright, the stars appear sparse, and the lights are like white silk. There are tall buildings everywhere here, where is my shelter? Not daring to think about the impossible dream, I love this paradise on earth.”That is the old Shanghai in the 1920s and 1930s that is nostalgic for people. The photo studio on the street was full of exquisite and beautiful photos. We cannot reproduce the golden age that is gone forever. But what we can do is to restore old photos that tell moving stories.— 「Chun Guang」
In the age of entertainment to death, countless people are fantasizing about being popular overnight and embarking on the pinnacle of life. But the traffic in exchange for selling the bottom line is destined to be only a flash in the pan. We want to make time slower and slower. We want to go back to the time when communications were underdeveloped. In the busy city, we opened the wooden door of the street-side photo studio and used the old-fashioned camera to freeze the beautiful moments left to us by the years.
“月明星稀，灯光如练；何处寄足，高楼广寒；非敢作遨游之梦，吾爱此天上人间”。那是让人怀念的二三十年代的老上海，街边的照相馆摆满了精致美丽的照片。我们无法复刻一去不复返的黄金年代，但可以还原一张张讲述着动人故事的老照片 — 「春光影記」
在娱乐至死的年代，无数人都在幻想着一夜爆红，走上人生巅峰。但无底线换来的流量，注定只会是昙花一现。我们想让时间慢些，再慢些，回到过去通信不发达的年代，车水马龙的闹市，推开街边照相馆的木门，用老式相机，定格岁月留给我们的美好瞬间。

Drink and Draw is not a drawing class, but an open, free, and creative weekly space for anyone who enjoys drawing while having a good drink.
It features different topics, models, stage setups, and music every week, making it an always fresh and exciting event!
We provide a pen/paper but you are very welcome to bring your own materials. At the end of the night, drawings are collected for models to choose their favorite, and the winners of the night get to drink shots with them.
Every week we announce our topics, post sights, and pictures in the Drink & Draw WeChat groups. Please contact the organizer through this QR Code if you want to join them!
Drink & Draw 并不是绘画课，而是提供了一个免费的自在随性、充满奇思妙想，并且有音乐美酒相伴的绘画创作空间，无需专业，只需尽兴！
