Come visit our Gulou indoor farmer’s market this Sunday at Modernista Old Cafe & Tapas Bar (address: 44 Baochao Hutong) from noon - 5pm to escape from the summer heat! Last Sunday many items were sold out from Mr. & Mrs Bear's Bakery, Le Fromager de Pekin, Lin’s Life Test's vegan desserts, and Vera’s Garden's rose jam. Remember to come early this week to avoid missing out!

逛完市集，回家亲手做一餐让自己都感动的晚餐吧！用远谷庄园的排骨做冬瓜汤，美味又提高食欲！用银杏有机农庄的青椒炒姚记的豆腐泡，绝对提味下饭！

You can make a delicious dinner with ingredients from the market, like pork and Chinese gourd soup from Yuangu Valley Farm’s spareribs. Or stir-fry tofu and green peppers using Yao's Handmade Tofu and spicy green peppers from Gingko Farm.

早餐，熊叔熊婶的天然发酵核桃面包(新上市！超好吃！），涂上一层黄油，核桃香满溢在嘴里～ 天然发酵的面包对胃好舒服！不用谢100%有机农庄的转换期油桃熬成桃酱，与布乐奶酪的羊脂球是绝搭！再加上远谷庄园的鸡蛋一枚，幸福的一天从早餐开始！

Here's a way to start your day: toast three slices of walnut & rye sourdough whole wheat bread from Mr. & Mrs. Bear Bakery, spread one slice with a layer of grass-fed butter, let the nutty walnut fragrent melt in your mouth... Make homemade peach jam from Buyongxie's 100% Organic Farm's transition period peaches and pair it with Le Fromager de Pekin's goat cheese on another slice. Then, top a sunnyside up egg from Yuangu Valley Farm on the third slice. Good morning, sunshine!

对整天都坐在电脑前的上班族而言，一份轻盈的午餐是让头脑清醒的重要补给！这个沙拉制作时间不到20分钟！将吴姐（春泥香生态农场）的甜菜头切成骰子大小的丁儿，用烤箱200度火烤15分钟，放到嫩菠菜和羽衣甘蓝（也是吴姐应季菜），加上自己喜欢的水果，在用藏香土蜂蜜自制的芥末蜂蜜苹果醋酱酌量搭配，烤过的甜菜头吃起来肉肉的很有饱足感哟！

A light but satisfying lunch gives a boost of energy to those who sit in front of the computer all day. Well, this one will only take 20 minutes to make! Roast beetroot cubes in small oven for 15 minutes, add baby spinach and kale (all seasonal from Mrs. Wu's Chunnixiang Ecological Farm), add your favorite fruit. Use raw honey to make a homemade honey mustard dressing with apple cider vinegar. Voila!

说到蜂蜜，你会在市集上6里地健康生活馆的摊位看到这样一大罐金黄色的珍贵东西，这是产自四川熊猫自然保育区的野生土蜂蜜，蜜蜂的品种是中华土蜂，在深山中自由采摘百种花、草、药。这是没有经过高温加工的生蜂蜜，保留了蜂蜜中天然的酶和养分。

Speaking of honey, you will find these golden jars at Liulidi Health Store's booth on the market. We call them "Panda Honey" because they are collected from the wild natural reserves around the panda habitat in Sichuan. The species of bees are old Chinese variety, which gathers nectar from hundreds of different types of flowers and herbs in the mountains. The honey has not been pastuerized and remains raw which has natural enzymes and nutrients that is good for the body.
