Here at Modernista Jazz has a special place in our hearts. That's why we have our Sunday Jazz Series. Every Sunday (and a few Thursdays) we dedicate the evening to this enigmatic and celebrated musical genre with live bands. It's not just any Jazz though, each evening is its own style within the genre, from the classic to the experimental and everything in between. Be you new or a connoisseur, can come and delight in all things Jazz.

We jazz up our normal Sunday program a bit this Sunday with the multi-talented Awuzi! The performances of singer and swing dancer Awuzi truly reveal the essence of Swing. Along with Qiao Youheng on guitar, Naqin on bass, Dai Haori on drums and Zhang Yiwei on sax. We are delighted to have them perform here at Modernista, just as they can’t wait to share their jazz story with you.
