About the Chinese CalligraphyChinese calligraphy and ink and wash painting are closely related, since they are accomplished using similar tools and techniques. Chinese painting and calligraphy distinguish themselves from other cultural arts because they emphasize motion and are charged with dynamic life. According to Stanley-Baker, "Calligraphy is sheer life experienced through energy in motion that is registered as traces on silk or paper, with time and rhythm in shifting space its main ingredients."Calligraphy has also led to the development of many forms of art in China, including seal carving, ornate paperweights, and inkstones. More on the ClassCalligraphy Course for English-Speaking Students (No Mandarin experience necessary) Taught by an English-speaking instructor, this class emphasizes the proper posture, breathing, and brush-handling techniques needed to write a character that has the proper “spirit,” rather than one that rigidly conforms to a model. A combination of demonstrations and individualized tips makes up each class. Content of the Calligraphy CourseOur course combines calligraphy practice with meditation techniques and philosophy to create a dynamic learning environment. In this course, you will:
* Gain knowledge of the Four Treasures (brush, ink, paper, and ink stone)* Learn writing techniques through one-on-one instruction* Understand the symbolic meaning of the Chinese characters you write * Try your hand at major styles of calligraphy: oracle, bronze ware, bamboo slab, and cursive* Create works of art in a soothing environment* Cultivate concentration with a relaxed mind and body* Appreciate the inner relationship between writing and Qi/breathing.

不染书法教室教师介绍：高潔，自幼學習書法，無所作為關門弟子拜入民國名士關天相先生門下，2010年畢業於中央美術學院中國畫學院，獲學士學位，2014年畢業於中央美術學院書法系，獲碩士學位。
不染書法教室最初成立於2008年，學生們的樣貌多種多樣，橫跨了多個國家，縱貫兩代年齡層；之所以能有很多樣的人喜歡來不染書法教室寫字，我想可能因為我們遵循傳統，但不是為了成為古代人，所以我並不重視形式化的傳統，而是學習美的文化，成就今天的自己。
「教室」是一個非常中性、直接的詞語。在這個教室里，大家就是上課、學習，乃至喝酒、聊天。老師和同學都有相同的愛好，把彼此生命中很珍貴的東西拿出來交換。這就是一個教室能做的全部了。所以我希望不染書法教室一直是一間非常單純、純粹的教室。是一個隨時能來寫寫字，靜靜心的地方。
不染书法教室的课程集审美、传统文化学习和培养静心和专注力于一体，是一种依于书法而超越书法提升身心境界的过程。课程设置每二十节课为一阶段，第一阶段从小篆《峄山刻石》开始，循序建立起传统书法审美体系。同时，通过对书法史论的学习融会贯通各种书体以及书法和中国文人千百年来千丝万缕的关联。
课堂特点：小班课，老师有机会给每名学员单独辅导和书写示范。

Chai Ni Si, a freelance photographer, came in touch with photography, film and Polaroid in his college years and always thought he’d been living a tragic life as everything his loved, form his childhood to adult years, had been “halted” from production. His favorite movie magazine stopped publishing, his favorite vehicle stopped production and even his favorite soda vanished form market quietly. Sometimes he will wonder why everything he loves has been taken away from him. Or, in other words, he’s trying the grab the last beautiful and meaningful things in his life.
Polaroid, one of the most important inventions of the 20th century, is also vanishing. In 1948, Doctor Edwin H. Land invented a practical system of in-camera instant photography which was unimaginable before digital era. Doctor Land is the most admirable person of the founder of Apple, Steve Jobs. However, as we come into a digital era, neither the public nor the professional movie industry relies on film as before. Right after the bankruptcy reorganization of Kodak, the film tycoon, Polaroid instant film stopped production. There are only very limited Polaroid instant films in the market. The more you press the shutter, the less Polaroid instant films we have in the world. Polaroid helps you catch the most unique and unforgettable moment only for you.

柴尼斯，自由摄影师，大学时开始接触摄影、胶片、宝丽来拍立得，自认为一直过着一点悲剧色彩的人生，因为从小到大喜欢的事物一直都会被“停产”，从喜欢的电影杂志停刊，喜欢的汽车因为太小众停产，甚至喜欢的碳酸饮料也会静悄悄的退市，现在已经分不清到底是因为自己喜欢了就被老天爷夺走，还是因为快要失去的那种美丽才更想紧紧抓住不放。
宝丽来（Polaroid）就是一个马上要逝去的事物，作为二十世纪最伟大的发明之一，1948年兰德博士打破传统胶片繁琐长时间的冲洗放大后期工艺，利用扩散转印原理研制出了可以立等可取的神奇胶片工艺，想像下这在数码时代来临之前是多么令人赞叹的产物，苹果创始人乔布斯生平最欣赏的人就是Polaroid创造者--兰德博士。然而，随着生活逐渐数码化，不管是民用还是专业电影拍摄与放映对胶片早已不再依赖，胶片巨头柯达倒闭重组之后，宝丽来即影即有相纸也部后尘停产了，现在只有很少一部分相纸存货，拍一张这个世界就少了一张。拍Pola照片是不可复制的，没有拷贝，没有PS,那一刻的光影被它收藏，且只属于你一个人。

Finally, as Modernista famously celebrates everything old, that magic of things passing from one hand to another along time, we are keeping a very special section for vintage and second hand.
Spend hours searching among dozens of old books, catch a glimpse of an amazing dress among piles of other clothes, and get one more time that feeling that there was something waiting for you somewhere all the way long.
Both vintage and second hand items are highly welcomed in our tables. Brand vintage all those items made before 1995, that is, those having at least 20 years of history, while the rest falls on second hand type.
我们的老顾客都知道，Modernista非常擅长关于时间的魔法。我们热爱那些旧时光，古董玩意儿。所以这一部分对我们来说，非常特别。
