MORE ABOUT THE BAND
Lívia Frossard is a singer that puts a Brazilian flavor intoall her repertoire. Together with Juliano Goedert and Dion MacIver, she proves thatgood music is international and independent of language.
Born in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, Lívia Frossard has a tastefor keeping on the move. Together with her family, besides her home country,she has lived in the US, France, and for the last three years, in China.
Used to new beginnings, the journalist and communicationsspecialist didn’t think twice when the opportunity to record a CD came up.After studying violin and piano, Lívia picked the guitar as her musicalinstrument of choice when she was 11 years old. But it would take her another15 years to realize she could sing. It was during her first session of singingtherapy that she first heard she should sing professionaly. After that, shebegan having voices lessons and performing as a hobby until she arrived inChina and decided to take it more seriously.
She recorded her first CD with Brazilian composer andmusical producer Mu Chebabi, who gave a Brazilian flavor to hits like Your Song (Elton John and Bernard J. P.Taupin) and Friday, I’m in Love (TheCure). The CD also has Brazilian classics such as Feitio de Oração (Noel Rosa and Vadico) and Domingo no Parque (Gilberto Gil).
