This year at Modernista we are celebrating Saint Patrick's through the weekend in three days of live music and drink specials!
So, we start with Irish band Blackwater on Thursday 16th,
The Hunters will play on Friday 17th and we will host a Spice Cabinet "Green'n'spiced" show on Saturday 18th.
And, as you get well served music wise, you can also get well served at bar!
We will have special deals on Guinness, Irish Cider, Jameson, Black Velvet cocktails and some new green spiced shots.

Most probably, we will spice up our green shots for this night of pop, jazz and everything in between. The Spice Cabinet's always gets it fresh and interesting, presenting new themes and performers every time.
To celebrate Saint Patrick's in the most spiced possible way, they are adding special guest performer combo Knomadik Horns to the mix. This mini big band line up gets complete with amazing Kaitlin Thomas and Shi Yuji on sax, Kyle Gregory on trumpet, Gabriel Beaudoin on guitar, Zhang Ke on bass, Sejin Bae on keys, Nate Wong + Anthony Vanacore on drums and Terry Hsieh on everything else.

The Spice Cabinet is a Beijing based band formed by jazz musicians playing around with other styles with amazingly fun and exciting results. A Modernista classic, hosting them for years and never get tired of that synth dead bop stuff!

Top 40 gone very, very wrong: the Spice Cabinet is the jazz machine that slices, dices and reworks every pop number into the frenzy ofa postmodern dance beat of wonder. It's pop, according to jazz, sprinkled withfunk, hip hop, bebop, rock, and a heavy dose of the avant garde.
