He and his band will be performing at the Meet in Beijing festival and Cervantes Cultural Institute, among other places in Beijing. His tour is sponsored by the international cultural management agency Enlaces Musicales, the Chilean record label Mescalina, Hanshing Agency and the Cultural Section of the Chilean Embassy in China.
Demian Rodríguez – ‘Demian’ from Herman Hesse’s book and ‘Rodríguez’ because of Manuel Rodriguez, the mythical guerrilla man of Chile's libertarian history- will visit Beijing for their first time, invited to participate in the international festival "Meet in Beijing" to promote his new album Homonymous, the second of his musical career. This material includes 10 songs with clear nods to the traditional bolero, but adding electric sounds and lyrics stripped of metaphors. "In my house there was always music, accordion, for example, or 12-string guitar," he recalls. "At home, we sang about the human and the divine. Everything was so natural and so beautiful, because the first singers I heard were my grandparents and uncles"
Born in San Antonio, Demian Rodriguez is a natural heir of popular music created and sung between hills and bars. With his second album just released and endowed with an extraordinary voice, he tells stories of life to the sound of a Latin American band, transforming the scene into canteens that evoke places like Buenos Aires, Havana or Valparaiso. Demian has shared stage with outstanding exponents of the Chilean music scene, such as Anita Tiyoux, Teleradio Donoso and Sun and Rain, among others.

艺术家的名字德米安·罗德里克兹（Demian Rodríguez），德米安（Demian）来自赫尔曼·黑塞的巨著而罗德里克兹（Rodríguez）源于智利独立历史上的传奇战士——马努艾尔·罗德里克兹（Manuel Rodriguez）。这是他第一次访问北京，他受邀参加“相约北京”国际文化节，并藉此契机推广其艺术生涯中的第二张唱片Homonymous. 这张专辑包含10首既向传统波莱罗曲式致敬又混合了电音及剥离了象征意义歌词的单曲。“我家总是充盈着音乐，比如手风琴或是12弦吉他的乐声”，他回忆说，“在家的时候，我们歌唱人类和神灵。万物都是那样的自然，那样的美丽。我的歌唱启蒙即我的祖父母和叔叔们。”

Se presentará en el festival Meet inBeijing e Instituto Cultural Cervantes, entre otros. Su gira es impulsada porla agencia internacional Enlaces Musicales, el sello discográfico chileno Mescalina, Hanshing Agency yla Sección Cultural de la Embajada deChile en China.
Demian Rodríguez -Demian por el libro de Herman Hesse y Rodríguez por Manuel, el mítico guerrillero de la historia libertaria de Chile- visitará por primera vez Beijing invitados a participar del festival internacional “Meet in Beijing”, ocasión que aprovechará para promover su nuevo disco homónimo, el segundo de su carrera musical. Este material incluye 10 temas con claros guiños al bolero tradicional, pero sumando sonoridades eléctricas y letras despojadas de metáforas. “En mi casa siempre hubo música, acordeón, por ejemplo, o guitarra de 12 cuerdas” recuerda “en casa se hacía canto a lo humano y lo divino. Todo fue tan natural y tan hermoso, porque los primeros cantantes que escuché fueron mis abuelos y mis tíos”
Nacido en San Antonio, Demian Rodríguezes el heredero natural de la música popular creada y cantada entre cerros y bares. Con su segundo disco recién lanzado y dotado de una extraordinaria voz, cuenta historias de vida al son de una banda de música Latino americana transformando los escenarios en cantinas que evocan lugares como Buenos Aires, La Habana o Valparaíso. Demian ha compartido escenario con destacados exponentes de la música chilena, tales como Anita Tiyoux, Teleradio Donoso y Sol y Lluvia, entre otros.
