Young Gu Kim

Young Gu Kim is a guitarist and composer from South Korea. He studied music at the Conservatory of Amsterdam, Purchase College, and the City College of New York where he earned his master’s degree from. His teachers include John Patitucci, Steve Cardenas, Ben Monder, Jesse van Ruller, and John Abercrombie. He has been involved in various musical projects and performed in Seoul, Oslo, Porto, Amsterdam, and New York. He led his own quartet consisting of young talented musicians from New York City, and released his debut recording “Small Community” in 2014.

Born in 1988, has performed at the Wembley Arena in London, the Walt Disney Concert Hall, the Beijing MasterCard Center, Dizzy's Club Coca Cola at Jazz at 出生于 1988 年，已在伦敦温布利体育馆、迪士尼音乐厅、位于纽约市林肯中心里的 Dizzy's Club Coca Cola 、法国巴黎的 Le Trianon 音乐厅、吉隆坡默迪卡体育场、北京万达中心、北京工人体育馆、北京中山音乐堂、武汉琴台音乐厅、广州国际体育馆、香港九龙湾国际展贸中心（Star Hall 汇星）以及亚洲、欧洲、澳大利亚、非洲北部、加勒比地区，和美国等地的其他音乐场馆演出。2010 年 Alex 移居北京，在这几年中他与崔健、许巍、蔡依林、吴亦凡、邓紫棋、邱比、声音碎片乐队、韩庚、宁静、飞儿乐队主唱 Faye（ 詹雯婷）、胡彦斌、尚雯婕、萨顶顶、韦礼安、谢春花以及爵士乐手马库斯·格雷弗 Marcus Belgrave（同时曾是雷·查尔斯 Ray Charles 的合作乐手）还有爵士长号大师罗宾·尤班克斯 Robin Eubanks 和 Rufus Reid 等知名乐手合作。并参与中国之星、中国梦之声、中国新说唱、跨界歌王等节目录制。 Alex 毕业于美国欧柏林音乐学院，师从世界知名爵士鼓手 Billy Hart, 毕业时学院授予 CIGSIE 补助奖同时荣获学习爵士乐的院长奖学金。 与此同时，Alex 也是 Vater Percussion 的代言人以及 Zildjian（知音）镲片的代言人。

大中-贝司Nathaniel Gao

Nathaniel Gao is a saxophonist and composer who has been based in Beijing since 2006. He has been a key contributor to the local jazz scene as both a co-leader of the quintet Red Hand as well as a leader of his own quartet and trio. Additionally, Gao has been active in an eclectic range of other musical projects including Three Sergeants Syndrome, The Beijing City Big Band, Afrokoko Roots and Bu Yiding. He has performed at the Ninegates Jazz Festival, the MIDI Jazz Festival, the Chongqing Jazz Festival, and the Ditan Park Music Festival, Jarasum International Jazz Festival and at major venues in Beijing, Shanghai, Hangzhou, Chengdu, Chongqing and Guangzhou. Gao graduated from UNI in 2006 with BA in music performance and in 2011 completed an MA in jazz performance at the City College of New York.

Nathaniel Gao 2006年以来活跃在北京爵士乐界的的萨克斯演奏家和作曲家。作为“红手”五重奏乐队的成员之一和他的四重奏和三重奏乐队的主导者，他为北京爵士音乐做出了重要贡献。他参与的乐队还包括“夏佳四重奏”，“Bad Monk”, “大卫”，“北京 Blue Note 乐队”，“Three Sergeants Syndrome”，“北京城市大乐队”，“Afrokoko Roots”和“不一定”。他参与了“九门爵士音乐节”，“海龟岛爵士音乐节”，“新泻爵士音乐节”，“广州爵士音乐节”，“迷笛爵士音节”和“地坛音乐节”。高太行毕业于2006年获得美国北艾奥瓦大学音乐表演学士学位，于2011年获得纽约城市学院爵士演奏硕士学位。
