As we all know, the beginning of a new year is the perfect time to make a new start, and one great way to do that is to clear out your old stuff and make space for the new. Out with the old and in with the new, as the saying goes! That's what Rumble wants to do this month, and that's how we decided on our theme... "All Clear... for the New Year!"

But remember, you can't make room for the new stuff before you've gotten rid of the old. So in addition to all of our fantastic vendors, we're also offering you the chance to rid yourself of last year's clutter. Between our second hand book stall and our charity donation collection, there are several ways to do that.

But the most exciting part of clearing out the old, is finding new stuff to replace it! That's where our awesome selection of vendors comes in. From vintage trinkets to designer jewelry, from henna tattoos to organic shampoos, you can find a bit of everything at Rumble!

What is Rumble in the Jumble?

这是一个什么样的集市？

Every month we hold a “jumble sale,” but with Beijing characteristics.

Rumble in the Jumble 是一个二手/手工商品集市。

The Cambridge English dictionary defines a Jumble Sale as;

“a sale of a mixed collection of things that people no longer want.”

But we, at Rumble in the Jumble, believe that this definition doesn’t do justice to the concept. Therefore, we’d like to redefine it as;

“a sale of a mixed collection of every thing you’ve ever wanted”

剑桥英语辞典定义“Jumble Sale”是一个售卖二手闲置物品的集市，但是在Rumblein the Jumble集市，我们超越了这个简单定义，我们是“一个能满足您各种购物需求的集市”。

What to expect

From jewelry and knick-knacks constructed from repurposed material to vintage clothing to ancient Greek art to used household items, you never know what treasures you’ll find. Want a book on all of the best places to travel in China? You’ll probably find it here! Want the perfect accessories to go with your new 1950s style dress? No problem! Want to learn a new musical instrument? You may just find one to try out!

喜欢首饰、复古衣物、古希腊艺术作品还有各式闲置家用产品的您，千万不要错过本次集市！需要一些旅行中阅读的书籍？想要学习一些新的乐器，准备买一些搭配自己50年代复古裙子的首饰？来我们Rumble集市吧，这里应有尽有！

In addition to the wide range of all the best handmade goods that our craft sellers make with all the love and passion they can muster, you can also browse through a veritable cornucopia of used goods on sale by our thrift sellers. Anything you don't sell or just don’t want you can leave it with us and we will donate it to charity.

我们集市上不仅有充满激情与创意的手作摊主们带来他们的精制货品，您还可以在二手摊位上淘到您喜欢的宝贝。结束后您不想带回家的物品可以给我们的组织者，我们将一起捐赠给需要的慈善机构。

Also make sure to check out the Rumble Booksellers stall. It’s a community stall in which anybody can participate. The books available range from fiction to non-fiction to educational, Chinese to English to French to Swahili (Okay, I don’t know if there will actually be any Swahili books, but if somebody wants to sell them, they can!)

Be sure to come and have a browse.

It costs 10kuai to be part of the stall. Books must be dropped off at the venue on the day of the sale before the sale starts.

您只需交10元钱来参与售书，在当天集市开始之前把您想售卖的书籍带来交到二手书摊位就可以了。

Join us at the beautiful Modernista, 44 Baochao Hutong on March 24 from 12 noon to 6 p.m. This hidden gem of a bar might be a bit difficult for the uninitiated to find, but trust us it’s worth it.
