This Thursday, Canú’s Celtic essence takes root at Modernista, along with two guest musicians: Ireland’s troubadour Jerome Lally and violin alchemist Li Bingyang. At their debut collaboration, tin whistles shimmer and bodhráns pulse, weaving Irish tradition into Beijing's night. A celebration of music that knows no borders, is happening!
这个周四，凯尔特Canú乐队初登老摩舞台，他们携两位航海士—— 爱尔兰游吟诗人Jerome Lally与提琴炼金师李炳阳 ——驶向旋律的未知海域。盖尔语呢喃如大西洋潮涌，哨笛与宝思兰鼓在风暴中央起舞。白昼再长，终将入夜——但今夜，凯尔特篝火永不熄灭。
ABOUT THE ARTIST
CANÚ (Gaelic for "canoe") is a Beijing-based ensemble dedicated to Irish/Celtic music. They sail between tradition and innovation—whether igniting pub sessions with fiery reels, crafting Celtic fusion originals, or performing at embassy galas. Fiddles, tin whistles, and bodhráns collide with modern grooves, creating a sound both ancient and daring. From intimate livehouses to the Irish Embassy’s grand stage, they are redefining Celtic music’s pulse in China.
CANÚ（盖尔语“独木舟”）是一支深耕 爱尔兰/凯尔特音乐 的北京乐队。他们以传统器乐为舟，穿梭于古老旋律与现代表达之间——从自由奔放的Livehouse到高规格音乐厅，从原汁原味的凯利舞会（Céilí Dance）到爱尔兰驻华大使馆的舞台，这支乐队用风笛、哨笛与提琴编织跨越时空的声景。他们演绎纯正凯尔特民谣，创作融合现代基因的原创舞曲，既是国内少有的传统守护者，也是凯尔特音乐的先锋探险家。活跃于Livehouse、音乐厅及凯利舞盛装舞会等多元舞台，他们曾受邀为爱尔兰驻华大使馆、英国驻华大使馆等机构献上高规格演出。
