ABOUT THE HARRIDANS
The Harridans have been bumbling around Beijing for the past nine years, flogging their freak disco wares to anyone with a fresh pair of dancing boots. After releasing their debut album ‘Fuzzing the Muse’ to widespread critical shrugs, the band have decided to recruit Bongo Chris and a hirsute Finnish man in the hopes of playing both in-time and in-tune, a feat that has so far eluded them.
The Harridans乐队在北京已混了9年，向任何穿着崭新舞靴的人兜售他们古怪的迪斯科服饰。在广泛且尖锐的轻视中，他们发布了首张专辑《Fuzzing the Muse》。目前乐队决定招募“胡渣芬兰佬”与“邦戈克里斯”，致力于实现合拍且合调的演奏，这是他们迄今没能完成的壮举。
ABOUT 王忆灵&携火者
Flame Bearers is a music group founded by Chinese singer and songwriter Wang Yiling. Even though the songs are Chinese at their core, the musicians come from various cultural backgrounds. The original formation and relatively fixed foundation of the band consist of drummer Nico Mège (FRA), bassist Chen Xi (CN), guitarist/flautist Jukka Ahonen (FIN), violinist Ji Siyan (CN), and cellist Chen Shunshun (CN). Later on, clarinetist Hadi Marvian (IR), keyboardist David Bond (ENG), and violinist Wang Huilian (CN) joined forces and helped remodel the ever-changing and always different live experience. Sometimes, Flame Bearers performs as a smaller group for a more intimate outcome, but it can also perform bigger and louder when needed.
With rich, textured but delicate string and woodwind arrangements, powerful—sometimes improvisational—electric guitars, and a driving rhythm section, Flame Bearers provides a unique live music experience that can take the listener from almost silent, soothing soundscapes to an auditive adventure full of life and energy—without ever failing to stay true to the folk music that lies at its heart.
“携火者”是王忆灵发起的乐队项目。以中文词曲为根基，与来自世界各地的音乐家进行融合与交织，回归最根源的情感，重视人与人的交互。他们的音乐有时以简洁小型重奏的形式进行表演，有时以大乐队编制来呈现，通常交织着厚重而精致的管弦乐编曲，也奔涌着充满生命能量的打击乐与即兴演奏，最终汇聚于民谣的人文性核心。首张全长专辑《枯萎颂》（Ode to Wither）于2024年立秋发布。
