JULY EVENTS
As temperatures continue to rise, so does the sound of music at Modernista! July comes with heatwaves of alternative rock, intimate acoustic shows, latin music and lots of jazz. Also a great thirst for summer dancing parties and drawing nights, cocktail in hand, of course!

As we enter the second half of July, we welcome back BOB DUPONT & THE OUTSTANDING VEGAN BANKERS on SAT 27TH. Listen as they present songs from their new album "Dolphin Sandwhich", a playful indie rock experiment that will make us whip our head back and forward all night long.

In July we are up to inspire your inner rebel and, at the same time, educate your ears with some of the best rock music of all times. Join us as some of Beijing's most talented cover bands recreate the greatest moments of rock history and let nostalgia fill the room.
Again, by the end of the month, we go back to the 90s and early 00s vibe as THE SONS OF THUNDER take over the stage like a thunderstorm on FRI 26TH. So refresh yourself with their easy tunes and be sure, they never fail to get the crowd jumping all night long!

JAZZ IN JULY
爵士七月
This month our Sunday Jazz welcomes musicians from the international scene as well as vibrant local bands, so cool down with us listening to some amazing summer jazz.
这个月的周日爵士之夜相当热闹，多位外国到访的爵士大师与常驻本地的爵士好手济济一堂，绝对是爵士迷之福！
Also, on THU 25TH, drummer DIMITRI STRELIANNY and his quartet will be playing his dreamy, atmospheric original compositions, while on SUN 28TH, SeeSaw's leader Feng Wei is presenting a new brand jazz fusion project, DING JAZZ TRIO, which we expect to be as beautiful as its predecesor.

DANCE IN JULY

Cooling winds, cocktails and dance! As the temperatures continue to rise our dance evenings grow more vibrant than ever. Spin along with Cuban salsa every Monday or swing across the dance floor to 1930s Balboa on Wednesday nights.
EVERY MONDAY we indulge in Cuban salsa classes, mojito happy hour and Savor Latino live band! Meet new people and join our SALSA CLASSES taught by Cuban teacher Gustavo. Beginners class starts at 8.30 PM & Intermediate class at 7.30PM. From 10PM we practise our steps to the great sound of the best Latin band in the city, SAVOR LATINO, con V de Venezuela!
每周一的拉丁之夜，我们的萨萨舞课人气高企，型男导师Gustavo继续开班授课，7点半中级班，8点半初级班，详情请扫二维码。

If it is vintage clothing and the elegant sounds of the 1930s America that you crave for, we invite you to join our Balboa Swing Dance evenings, EVERY WEDNESDAY.
On WED 10TH, we start a new BALBOA BEGINNER'S COURSE, followed as always, lively social swing dance. If summer has brought with it some extra spare time this is a great opportunity to meet new peope and dance!

Release the artist within with our weekly drawing sessions EVERY TUESDAY featuring various themes with different models, music and stage set up every week! Let's DRINK & DRAW!
