CURTIS DEL GAY!
We all know him, we all love him, we all wish he was ours but his heart…belongs to Jing & Tonic. He thumbed a ride here, all the way from Connecticut 19 years ago and hasn’t aged a day since - we think it’s due to his excellent skin care regime and persistence with vegetables. Keeping your acts in line and making you feel just fine, it’s Mr. Curtis Del Gay!
CARL RAPPA
Carl is a new comic that comes from the dangerous part of Chicago. (Unless you’re also from Chicago, then he’s from a suburb nearby). Carl came to China just over a year ago and started doing standup about 6 months ago, using a variety of one-liners, impressions, and metaphors to give a different perspective on things people experience every day. He is also an architect and continues to learn Chinese at rate of one word per month. He was a big hit on the September show, so we couldn’t wait to welcome him back to the J&T stage!
EDSON OOYEAH
Edson is a Mexican comic who spent way too much time in America. During this time, he mastered the language only to use it to explain that he isn't from the USA. He indeed is one of the bad hombres that was so feared would end up getting American daughters pregnant for a green card. Luckily, he is better than that and got a wife and the daughter pregnant. A classic two for one. He now resides in China and is currently mastering Chinese to explain very thoroughly to Chinese nationals why he is not able to speak the language whenever possible. With over two walls on cultural experience his comedy is just about being in the right place at the right time.
FLYNN ARROW
Flynn Arrow comes from the Midwest. He writes honest music that captures love/hate, heartbreak and loss. “My father has always been a big influence on me, as I grew up listening to him play his songs on an out of tune piano. I taught myself guitar and I keep experimenting with new ways to sing - it's simple, but I like my music and I am proud of it.” – I am sure we will like it too! We can’t wait to welcome Flynn to the J&T stage!
YAFEI LAOSHI
Hi little kiddies, get ready to learn your ABCs and your 一二三s with the biggest and hairiest princess you have ever seen. Expect man-cleavage, autotune, and educational fun. Another first timer to the J&T stage, we absolutely cannot wait to see what Yafei Laoshi has to teach us!
THE REBEL 5
The Rebel 5 deliver an exciting and refreshing velvet sound of funk, soul and R&B that constantly captivates audiences and brings them to their feet. This Beijing based band features vocals, piano, bass, guitar and drums, all decked out in fancy shoes and crisp button downs. The energy and musicianship the fresh hip band exudes on stage calls to life a high energy and sophisticated musical experience like no other.
