This Sunday, April 25th, the amazing Victor Bastidas is back after a long break to grace the stage at Modernista again! Victor and the other three talented musicians are going to bring you some of Victor's original compositions and some classics with their own twist. It's gonna be contemporary, it's gonna be bebop, it's gonna be HOT! Victor will be playing some magical beats with his drums, Wang Chenhuai is bringing you his double bass, Liu Xiaoguang on sax, and wait for Noah Hocker to fire up the night with his trumpet. You do not wanna miss out on this one!
这周日，4月25日，阔别多时的Victor回来啦！他将又一次登上老摩的舞台与其他三位超级棒的音乐家一起给大家带来Victor的原创作品，以及加入他们自己风格的爵士经典。你将会听到现代和波普爵士，这将会是一个火辣的夜晚。Victor将会带来魔法般的爵士鼓点，王晨淮将演奏低音提琴，刘晓光的萨克斯风，然后就等着Noah Hocker的小号让这个夜晚燃烧起来吧。真的是不容错过哦！

VICTOR BASTIDAS RODRIGUEZ
Victor Bastidas received his masters in music with full scholarship from North Illonois University. He has played with many great artists like Michael Breacker and Paquito de Rivera. From 2013 to 2017 Victor lived in Chicago performing regularly with De Paises Project, The Chicago Collective, the Adam Larson quartet, and the Reggie Thomas group. Victor has performed as guest at International festivals such as FIA 2014 in Costa Rica, Jazz al Parque in Bogota Colombia 2012, Cu Jazz Festival in Urbana IL US, 2017, Beijing Jazz Festival 2018, Sam Barsh trio at Xian Music Festival China 2018, Villavicensio Jazz Festival 2016, and New York winter Jazz Fest with the Edmar Castaneda world Ensemble. He Currently Teaches at The Contemporary Music Academy of Bejing in China where he performs regularly with the local and international artists coming through China.
Victor Bastidas以优异的成绩毕业于北伊利诺伊大学音乐系取得硕士学位，获得音乐系的全额奖学金和大学奖学金。2013年至2017年间他定居于芝加哥，并且长期与De Paises Project, The Chicago Collective, Adam Larson quartet以及Reggie Thomas group一起演出。多次参与全球范围内各种音乐节和爵士现场演出：哥斯达黎加的FIA 2014，2012年哥伦比亚波哥大的Jazz al Parque，2017年美国Urbana的爵士音乐节，2017年的北京爵士音乐节，2018年的西安音乐节的Sam Barsh三重奏，2016年的Villavicensio爵士音乐节，纽约冬季爵士音乐节等。他目前任教于中国北京当代音乐学院，并定期同中国的本地及国际艺术家合作。

WANG CHENHUAI 王晨淮
Currently lives and works in Beijing. He started playing music at the age of 14, and was admitted to the Beijing Modern Music Academy at the age of 17. Later, his music career turned to jazz and began to learn double bass. In 2008, Wang Chenhuai was specially recruited by the Prince Claus Conservatory of Music in Groningen, the Netherlands, and started studying for a Bachelor of Jazz. In 2013, he graduated with a full scholarship. In 2015, went to Queen's College in New York, USA to study for a master's degree in performance and graduated in 2017. In 2019, he won the Taiwan Golden Melody Award for Best Musical Instrument Performance Recording.
现工作生活于北京。从14岁起接触音乐，并于17岁考入北京现代音乐学院，随后音乐生涯的发展转向爵士乐并开始学习低音提琴。2008年王晨淮被荷兰格罗宁根州的克劳斯王子音乐学院特招开始攻读爵士乐学士，2013年以全额奖学金毕业。2015年赴美国纽约皇后学院攻读演奏专业硕士于2017年毕业。2019年获得台湾金曲奖最佳乐器演奏录音奖。

LIU XIAOGUANG 刘晓光
Liu Xiaoguang, a jazz musician. In 2004, he won the Best Artist Award in New York, USA. Saxophone tutor in the Jazz Department of Beijing Modern Music Institute. He has been playing flute and harmonica for the band "Xiaojuan & Dwellers in the Valley" (won the Best Band Combo Award in 2009); he is also the saxophone player of the AQ Jazz Band, Beijng Blue Note Big Band, Jazz Cube Octet .
刘晓光，爵士音乐家。2004年荣获美国纽约最佳艺术家奖。北京现代音乐学院爵士系萨克斯导师。现一直担任“小娟&山谷里的居民”乐队长笛、口琴演奏（2009年获中歌榜最佳乐队组合奖）；还是阿Ｑ爵士乐队、Beijng blue note big band、爵士魔方八重奏的萨克斯手。

NOAH HOCKER
Noah Hocker is a professional trumpet player, was born in a musical family in Portland, USA. When he was very young, he believed that music was what he wanted to do all his life. After graduating from high school, he entered the jazz performance major of Temple University in Philadelphia, under the tutelage of the famous American jazz musician trumpeter Terrell Stafford. Long-term jazz bands he has been regularly playing with on global tours include Gordon Webster, Michael Gamble and his rhythm serenade, Jonathan Stout and Hot Sardines. In 2017, he was awarded the title of Best Soloist of the Year by the "World Improvisation" in Madrid, Spain. He recently released his first modern jazz album "Common Thread". Noah Hocker is a versatile and well-rounded musician. His heart is full of deep respect for jazz. In the future, he will be stationed in Beijing, China and the United States.
Noah Hocker 职业小号手，出生在美国波特兰的一个音乐世家。在他很小的时候就认定音乐就是那个他一生想要从事的事情。高中毕业以后进入了费城Temple大学爵士表演专业，师从美国著名爵士音乐家小号手Terrell Stafford。长期固定合作全球巡演的爵士乐队有Gordon Webster，Michael Gamble和他的节奏小夜曲，Jonathan Stout和Hot Sardines爵士乐团。2017年他被西班牙马德里“世界即兴”授予年度最佳独奏者称号。近期他推出了他自己创作的第一张现代爵士专辑 “Common Thread”。Noah Hocker是一位多才多艺且全面发展的音乐人。内心对爵士乐充满了深深的崇敬。未来他将会驻扎在中国北京及美国。
