Summer in Beijing is hot. But if you look for something even hotter than the weather, meet us at Modernista for some classic Latin American music on July 28. The music genres cover from Son and Guaracha to Bolero, Changui and Sucusucu. Feel the true warmth and creativity of Latin American people, their rhymes and their rhythms, as our modern "trovadores" go on Modernista's stage for a night to remember. And as Wednesday at Modernista are for dancing too, be sure tables will give way to the dance floor this time!

TroVanda is an unique mixture of Caribbean sounds and beautiful lyrics filled with the typical Latin passion and flavor that can only be found in Latin culture. While reviewing different traditional music genres, they add their own style and influences to achieve an original sound and make it their own, covering everything from Boleros, Cancion and Son, to Guaracha, Changui, and Suco-sucu. Formed by Laura Gonzales (vocals & flute), Johnny Strugg (guitar & vocals), Norman Mariquez (bass & vocals) and Eduardo Barroetabeña (percussion & vocals), TroVanda will make you feel like you are chilling in a Caribbean paradise enjoying your favorite drink!
