They are a select and complimentive combination of musicians, varying in styles from Swing, Bebop, Bossa Nova, Smooth Jazz and more. They make their way back to our stage to do it all! Our Sunday evening jazz line ups are all the better for their attendance. Seasoned sax player Wu Yunnan will be backed by four talented performers - Wu Tao on flute, Liwei Le on guitar, bass player Liu Jianhuang and drummer Lai Chuqi. Come book your tables!

WU YUNNAN 吴云南
SAX 萨克斯

Wu Yunnan graduated from the Central Conservatory of Music and is a first-class member of the Jazz Society of the Chinese Musicians Association. He has served as the tenor saxophone chief of the former General Staff Orchestra and the second alto saxophone chief of the Chinese Navy Military Orchestra. He has performed, studied and exchanged experiences woth musicians in more than 20 countries and has been well received. In 1999, he performed in the National Day Parade Orchestra. He has in-depth study and research in Classical and Jazz saxophone performance. In the past two decades, he has formed and joined many bands and participated in various TV shows, music festivals and other performances. He has a strong foundation in saxophone performance and composition, and has participated in many records making. He released his original Jazz album in 2017 and often performs with outstanding Jazz musicians in China and abroad. He has performed up to remarkable 364 Jazz performances in one year. Each performance was welcomed and praised by music fans.

吴云南毕业于中央音乐学院，是中国音乐家协会爵士乐学会一级会员，曾担任原总参军乐团次中音萨克斯首席和中国海军军乐团二队中音萨克斯首席。曾在二十多个国家进行演出、学习、交流并受到好评。1999年参加国庆阅兵大乐团，在古典和爵士等风格的萨克斯演奏方面都有着深入的学习与研究。在过去的二十年当中组建加入过多支乐队并参加电视台、音乐节等演出活动。有着深厚的萨克斯演奏和作曲功底，并参加过多次唱片录制。2017年发行个人原创爵士乐专辑。经常与国内外优秀的爵士音乐家合作演出，曾在一年当中最多演出过三百六十四场爵士乐，每场演出都受到乐迷的欢迎和好评。

LAI CHUQI 赖楚棋

DRUMS 鼓手

Lai Chuqi is a first-level member of the Chinese Music Association Jazz Department. Graduated from the Jazz School of Beijing Contemporary Music Academy, she has studied Jazz drum performance under the famous Jazz drum player Shao Ha. During the school time, she has also studied ensemble and music theory with famous musicians such are Antonio Fusco, Daniel Callaghan, and Anthney Vanacore. After graduation, she followed Dr. Su Chang to further the study of Jazz theory and practice. She is very active at major stages in Beijing for Jazz musicians, including Blue Note, Bricks, 9 Clouds, DDC, Jianghu, etc.

赖楚棋，中国音协爵士乐一级会员。毕业于北京现代音乐学院爵士乐学院，师从著名爵士鼓演奏家邵哈哈先生学习爵士鼓演奏至今，在校期间同时、Antonio Fusco、Daniel Callaghan、Anthney Vanacore等老师学习合奏与音乐理论知识。毕业后跟随粟畅博士进一步学习爵士理论与实践。活跃于北京各大爵士舞台，演出场所包括Blue Note Beijing爵士俱乐部、Bricks爵士酒吧、九霄俱乐部、黄昏黎明俱乐部、江湖酒吧等。

LIU JIANHUANG 刘建皇
DOUBLE BASS 双低音

He graduated from the Beijing Midi Music School, and successively studied under the Jazz bassist Liu Yue focusing on Jazz theory and improvisation, as well as the double bass player Yin Leipeng, studying Classical music. He currently teaches at the Beijing Midi Music School.

毕业于北京迷笛音乐学校，先后师从于爵士贝斯演奏家刘玥，主攻爵士理论与即兴演奏；低音提琴演奏家尹雷鹏学习古典音乐，现任教于北京迷笛音乐学校。

LI WEILE 李伟乐

GUITAR  吉他

He majored in Jazz guitar of the Jazz Department of Beijing Contemporary Music Academy. Under the tutelage of Jazz guitarist Xiaji, Nathaniel Gao (saxophone player and composer), and famous guitarist Cai Jian, he comprehensively studied Jazz music. Formed a number of electro-acoustic bands who are familiar with related instruments. He also performed at many concerts and master classes all around. His solo album "Blossom" was released in January 2019.

北京现代音乐学院爵士系爵士吉他专业.师从爵士吉他手夏季、Nathaniel Gao（萨克斯演奏家和作曲家）以及著名吉他手蔡剑全面学习爵士音乐. 组建参加多支电声乐队熟悉电声乐器的编制与演奏。参加多次音乐会演出以及各地大师班。2019年1月发行个人专辑"Blossom"。

WU TAO 吴涛
FLUTE 长笛

Wu Tao graduated from the Central Conservatory of Music, and is a part of former navy military band where he played flute and piccolo. During the time, he accompanied the state delegation to visit more than ten countries and regions in Europe, North America, Asia and Africa. He also participated in the performance of the Chinese Navy’s first round-the-world visit. He took part in many special naval concerts such are the Beijing Concert Hall, the National Centre for the Performing Arts, and recorded many musical works. Since he started his career, he devoted himself to studying Jazz flute playing techniques, and performed with a number of outstanding domestic Jazz musicians. He has broad performance experience.

吴涛毕业于中央音乐学院，原海军军乐团长笛兼短笛。在团期间，曾随团出访欧美、亚非等十余个国家和地区，参加了中国海军首次环球访问中的演出工作。曾参加北京音乐厅，国家大剧院等多场海军专场音乐会，以及多部音乐作品的唱片录制。从艺以来潜心研究爵士长笛演奏技法，曾与多位国内一线优秀爵士音乐家合作演出爵士乐，有着丰富的演出经验。
