Saturday night promises to be extra special as Ember Swift (子玉) and her fellow top musicians will perform a preview of their most recent album - "Mid-March Meltdown" -  combined with some of their classic signature songs on our stage. Identified by mixing up different styles, you don’t want to miss out on this band - ask any rock or jazz lover! As usual, never a dull moment long after the show: at midnight Happy Hour shots will be poured and DJ Whisper takes it away right into Sunday.

Ember Swift (子玉) is a Canadian musician, singer, songwriter and performer who has toured extensively throughout North America, Australia, Europe and Asia. Since 1996, she has released 13 albums of her own eclectic blend of original music and the most recent, "Mid-March Meltdown" (2021), is a collection of melodically driven tunes ranging in style from rock to R&B, jazz to reggae. Assembled with her band of top-caliber musicians hailing from all over the world, the high energy, muscular musicianship and sheer diversity of her material make it the kind of album you listen to until the final track. GABRIEL BEAUDOIN

Gabriel Beaudoin (盖博) is a French-Canadian musician from Montreal, Quebec. With a degree in Jazz Studies and a Masters in Jazz Music Performance from the University of Toronto, he then spent three years as a professional cruise ship musician. Since moving to China in 2012, Gabriel has performed with well-known Chinese artists such as the legendary Jolin Cai (蔡依林), veteran Mongolian singer Siqingerili (斯琴格日乐), Jane Zhang (张靓颖) Kun (坤), Tan Weiwei (谭维维), Tia Ray (袁娅维) and Huang Qi Shan (黄绮珊). He also regularly performs with Ember Swift, Nancy J Brown and JCREW on the foreign artist circuit. Gabriel has performed on such TV shows as China Star, I Am A Singer and China Hero. His apparently effortless fretboard fluidity regular drops jaws in all performance environments.

加布里埃尔·博多恩(盖博)是一位来自魁北克蒙特利尔的法国-加拿大音乐家.拥有爵士研究学位和多伦多大学爵士音乐表演硕士学位后，他花了三年时间作为一名专业游轮音乐家。他还定期与恩伯斯威夫特，南希J布朗和JCREW在外国艺术家巡回表演。加布里埃尔曾出演过“中华之星”、“我是歌手”和“中国英雄”等电视节目。他的明显毫不费力的烦恼，流动性，规律下降的下巴在所有的表现环境。

GUY MABANZA

DRUMS 鼓 

Hailing from the Congo, drummer Guy Mabanza's playing is the perfect combination of groove, technique and musicality. He studied at the prestigious Freejazz school of music in his home country under Congolese drummers Evradone Lahaluma and Francis Mulio, and performed with various ensembles related to the institute as well as with other bands including Adonaï before moving to China. Citing influences including Dave Weckl, Dennis Chambers and Calvin Rodgers, he currently performs around Beijing with the band worpro and the Canadian artist Ember Swift (子玉). An extremely versatile musician, his previous performances include playing drums with THE JARED LANG BAND and playing orchestral percussion with the Kunming International Philharmonic under the baton of conductor Oleg Sheremeta.

DARVEL MARTINEZ CHAPMAN

Darvel Martinez Chapman is a Cuban-born multifaceted musician and instrumentalist specialising in bass, double bass and trombone. His thorough understanding of music lends itself to all mainstream genres and has seen him grooving with several different kinds of bands through the vibrant city of Beijing, China in the past eight years. After some experiences domestically in his home country of Cuba with successful bands (i.e. Suena Cubano and The Alley Cats), Darvel has been living these past few years in Beijing and performing with many diverse performers and groups in a variety of musical contexts. Both his grooves and smile are infectious and win the hearts of all who experience his live performance.
