ABOUT THE ARTIST
“The legendary Brazilian drummer of the proto-punk band Dirty Fingers, Zhao Zilong, created a brand new artistic world in his tropical homeland, surrounded by mountains, during his three years away from the band. With the density of the jungle and the weight of the mountains, there is a charming exotic temperament, cyclical philosophical thoughts, and subtle religious meanings—all dispersed in his music. This time, he returns as Amazonia, O.
Some people may define Amazonia’s music as low-fidelity folk music. His musical fragments are filled with repetitive rhythms of chanting, infantry marching beats, and a faint sense of strangeness, reminiscent of Leslie Garcia, a Latin American experimental folk musician. His current style seems vastly different from his previous musical practice with Dirty Fingers.
However, if you listen carefully, you may appreciate his consistent and unrestrained roots. A variety of ethnic instruments, such as the viola caipira, create atmospheres that are sometimes obscure and sometimes bright, with ever-changing styles. It’s like an elegant jungle leopard—you can only catch a glimpse of its beautiful stripes flashing through the jungle in an instant.
Amazonia, O, a Brazilian, is a founding member and drummer of the Shanghai-based punk garage rock band Oh! Dirty Fingers. In China's underground music scene, Amazonia is also known as Zhao Zilong. Since returning to his tropical homeland three years ago, he has developed a steady output of music, literature, and film projects in the mountains. He has recorded and produced three music albums, published a book, released an audiobook, created a documentary, and made several art videos.”

亚马孙，巴西人，上海原生朋克车库摇滚乐队「脏手指」（Oh! Dirty Fingers）的创始成员及前鼓手，近期以亚马孙先生（Amazonia, O Selvagem）的身份重回中国进行他的首次巡演。在中国的地下音乐界，亚马逊也被称为赵子龙。自从他回到他在热带地区的祖国后，3年过去了，他在山里发展稳定的音乐、文学和电影作品，创作了3张自己录制/制作的音乐专辑、一本出版的书、一本有声书、一部纪录片和几个艺术视频。有人会将亚马孙先生的音乐定义为低保真民谣（lofi-folk）。他的音乐片段中充盈着吟唱、步兵行进般的重复节拍和淡淡的怪诞气息，这种质感让人隐约想起几分拉美实验民谣音乐家Leslie Garcia的影子，似乎与他之前在脏手指的音乐实践大相径庭。然而，如果细心倾听，或许能体味到他始终如一的不羁根骨；多样的民族乐器（如凯皮拉提琴和卡瓦基诺），时而晦涩、时而明亮的氛围，变幻的风格，就像一只优雅的丛林豹，你只能捕捉到那美丽的斑纹在丛林间瞬息闪过。
