Ashley Hu makes her Songwriter Series debut, joined by Li Peiran on guitar. A trilingual singer-songwriter, Ashley's music spans pop, R&B, and jazz, enriched by years of performing in Chicago and Shanghai. Her voice carries both power and elegance, shaped by influences from Whitney Houston to Diana Krall, and her stage presence is magnetic. 胡昀哲将首度登上原创音乐人系列的舞台，吉他手李沛然倾情助阵。她的音乐巧妙融合流行、R&B 与爵士元素。在芝加哥与上海多年的舞台磨砺，为她的音乐注入了独特魅力。她的嗓音兼具力量感与优雅气质，受到从惠特尼·休斯顿到戴安娜·克瑞儿等传奇歌者的深刻影响；她的舞台表现力也极具感染力。本次演出，她将呈现一系列深情动人的原创作品与别具新意的经典改编曲目，带来一场兼具艺术深度与情感温度的音乐体验。
ABOUT ASHLEY
Ashley is a trilingual (Chinese–English–French) singer-songwriter whose artistry spans Western pop, R&B, and jazz. A graduate of the University of Chicago, she sang soprano with the University Choir and mezzo-soprano with the Chicago a cappella group Make A Joyful Noise. Trained in classical piano from childhood, Ashley has over a decade of performance experience and is now an active presence on Shanghai's live music scene, headlining at JZ Club, House of Blues and Jazz, Okok Club, and Chair Club. She represented the University of Chicago as one of the Top 10 singers in the Global University Voice competition, and recent highlights include performing at Moutai's 2024 annual gala, recording the 2023 BYD Fangchengbao commercial theme, and appearing at the Yi Qi Fan Ji Lifestyle Music Festival and Sofar Sounds. Her years living and performing in Chicago deepened her connection to blues, jazz, and R&B, giving her voice the power and emotional depth of Whitney Houston and Adele, the silky storytelling of Diana Krall, and the soulful edge of Alicia Keys, Tia Ray, and HER Collaborations with top musicians from around the world have shaped her distinctive style and her expressive, magnetic stage presence.

Ashley是上海少有的欧美系Diva vocal，能够驾驭多种音乐风格。 从小学习古典钢琴，近十年的歌手生涯中受到欧美流行、爵士、 布鲁斯等多种流派熏陶，尤其是多年在美国芝加哥生活的经历， 令她对blues、jazz、R&B等黑人音乐的理解和表现力进一步加深。歌手松弛自由的唱腔。自由、奔放、饱满是她的标签，声 音及富有故事感和粗犷感，既有Whitney Houston, Adele浑厚的 声线和磅礴的表达和丰富立体的情感，又有爵士名伶Diana Krall般丝滑娓娓道来的女中音，更有Alicia Keys、Tia Ray、HER 等R&B。多年来来自全球各地优秀乐手的合作，形成了她独具 一格的演唱风格和富有感染力的舞台表现。
ABOUT LI PEIRAN
After graduating, Li returned to China and performed at a jazz club in Chengdu. He then worked as a guitar instructor at Mide Music School in Chengdu, participating in the performance of Jingcao Shenger in October 2019. In 2020, Li moved to Beijing and became a guitar teacher at the Beijing Modern Music Institute. He also engaged in performances and recordings, including arranging and recording for film and television dramas. Li continued his jazz music studies with jazz musician Gao Taihang and performed at various jazz venues in Beijing.
毕业回国后李沛然在成都爵士乐俱乐部演出，并参与2019年10月井草圣二在成都的演出工作，时任成都迷笛音乐学校吉他讲师。2020年赴北京发展，担任北京现代音乐学院吉他教师并参与演出与录音。曾参加多部影视剧的编曲录音工作。个人与爵士音乐家高太行老师继续学习爵士乐并在北京各个爵士乐现场演出。
