Round-Up
Salad Stuff has closed down!
Salad Stuff only opened in Xinbei in the summer of 2016 and after a strong start and positive reports on their offerings it seems it has closed its doors for good.

Global Harbour seems to have become the most popular shopping mall in Changzhou. They regularly have special performances such as tight rope walkers, acrobats, pole dancers and more but next month they will have an aquarium themed area. Details on this a sketchy at the moment so if one of our readers could tell us more we will surely update our info.

For those of you living in Wujin I'm sure you'll be delighted with the news that Summer has now opened their second location at the old Golden Eagle building at the back of RT Mart. They have been attracting many locals & expats alike since they opened. With their American style menu and responsibly priced food and drinks it is no surprise our favourite Changzhou MC, Mr David Jenkins has gotten off to a flying start with his new location.

They have a notice on their front door telling us that they will reopen after redecoration work. Let's hope they put some effort into improving their service and food too.

Held at the expo centre at Xitaihu (West Tai Lake) this car show has a range of car models from Chinese to luxury brands. Free Entry.

Congrats to the Giants for a great day with teams from Shanghai, Nanjing, Wuhan & Suzhou joining their first rugby tournament in Changzhou. The Giants also represented our city at the Rugby Fest Tournament in Hong Kong last month. An amazing effort fro the team saw them reach the quarter finals and become the highest placed team from the mainland. Really well done lads!

Uptown Alley (bowling/pool/sports restaurant & bar) has put on a special deal of 88RMB for a game of bowling, 1 pizza, 1 cola and a 30RMB game card. Sounds good to us.
Rumours & Gossip
It seems that Dirk, the German owner of Zapfler beer will be opening a new German bar in the Canal 5 area. Dirk already has a bar in Shanghai and that other metropolis, Jintan so lets see if the rumours are true and that Changzhou will have it's own Zapfler Bar.
Ellen's Bar & Pepper Spray.
This may come as no surprise to you but seemingly there was another big fight in Ellen's recently. While Ellen's seems to be attracting a lot of negative attention lately the latest brawl had most of the customers fleeing due to the use of pepper spay (obliviously someone came prepared for battle with pepper spay)
After a very successful Masquerade Ball at the Sheraton, WAIS are planning and even bigger and better party (a James Bond theme has being mentioned but you didn't hear it from me!) for next year so stay tuned and you will hear it first here at DragonCity.
One of our readers informed use that a new German company opened in Wujin. He believed the name was Northann (or something similar). Perhaps one of our readers can confirm this?
Car Boot Sale in Wujin?
We heard some people mention a car boot sale was help in Changzhou recently. Sounds like a great idea. Did anyone of our followers attend? Any feedback? Will it happen again?
Questions;
One of our followers has asked where they can buy European style (well non-Chinese style) bread here in Changzhou. Can anyone offer any suggestions?
Has anyone tried the new Indian food delivery service?
We believe it has been set up by a group of Indian friends who originally set up a food stall outside Hohai University at selected times and they have started a home delivery service. Has anyone tried it yet? Is it worth trying?
