China's State Administration of Foreign Experts Affairs has announced a notice on December 7th. According to the document, all foreigners are required to submit their application for Chinese work permit renewal 30 days ahead of the expiration of their permits. And it will take effect on February 28, 2018.
Those who fail to comply with this new regulation will be denied of renewal and shall start a new application for work permit.
Please be noticed that this announcement was issued by China's State Administration of Foreign Experts Affairs, not the regional Foreign Experts Bureau, so it applies to any city in China.
