A message titled "A Letter to Mr. Thief" written by shop assistants in a dessert shop in Yangzhou, Jiangsu province was shared on the Internet.
A thief stole over 2,600 yuan ($382) in cash on the early morning of March 12, according to the shop assistants. They posted the open letter to the thief on the Internet, hoping to find some clues and persuade the thief to stop illegal behaviors.
The letter reads: "You must have difficulties in your life, or you would not choose to steal. Maybe you're confused and worried about failing to find a job, but you are still young. If you really can't find a job, come to our shop and learn making desserts. Your salary will be much higher than the cash you stole. We are willing to help you become a new man with goals and dreams.”
