The Night Market South of University Town常州大学城夜市——吃货的天堂

The night market just south of university town has some pretty cool things going on there. Many years ago, it used to be in front of the KTV, but now moved just a little ways south at a particular spot designed solely for it. 

常州大学城的夜市已经整体搬迁到了专门场所，比起以前要更加规整，从旧址继续往南大概300米就到了。

Address: the cross of Fengxi Road and Wunan Road(south of  the south gate of Changzhou Institute of Mechatronic Technology)

地址：凤栖路与武南中路交汇处(常州机电学院南门向南)

The night market includes bbq stands set up under tents and each tent/stand serve different types of food different from each tent. Food that you can find there include the following: soup (noodle or non-noodle), dumplings, wonton, Chinese burrito wraps, bbq grill food (vegetable, mushrooms, and meat on skewers), and many other things I missed saying here. In addition to the tents, there is a hanger-like structure that has numerous stalls inside where you can buy food from these stalls, each with its own kind of food. Delicious stuff!

夜市里搭建着一个个的小棚子，里面设置了烤架，每个都经营着不一样的特色小吃。 你可以找到的食物包括：汤（面条或非面条），饺子，馄饨，中国面卷饼，烧烤（蔬菜，蘑菇和肉串等），以及我错过的许多其他的东西。 除了小棚子，还有许许多多的摊位，从中你也能买到各种好吃的。

Besides the tasty food, the night market also has stands where you can buy souvenirs and neat items. Each stand has its own unique set of trinkets to select. One stand, which I personally thought was cool, sold its own set of self-defense items. Items range from knives to retractable wands to pepper spray to tasers. Pretty cool!

除了各种吃食，你还能在夜市里买到各种纪念品、小物件。每个摊位都有自己独特的小饰品可供你选择。有一个摊位专门卖他自己的一套自卫物品，有刀子、可伸缩的鞭子、胡椒喷雾等，我个人觉得很棒！

Last, but not least, are the so-called carnival games. In one area they have games setup where you can win prizes. Games include popping the balloons with darts, throwing balls at items to knock them down, throwing balls in holes, and ring tossing. Popping balloons and throwing balls in holes determine prizes based on the amount you manage to score in number. Knocking prizes down with balls is straightforward and automatically gets you the prize. However, rebounds don’t count, but if you argue with the guy and stomp your feet on the ground like a  5 year old  at Toys ‘R Us, he’ll most likely secede and give you the prize. Ring tossing includes rings that are about 10 cm across and made out of bamboo. Prizes in the way back are a lot more valuable than those in the front, but harder to get.

夜市里还有很好玩的游戏。摊主在规定区域内设置了游戏，通过这个游戏你可以赢得奖品。 游戏包括飞镖扎气球、掷球击倒物品、投篮、套圈圈等。弹气球和投篮是基于你的命中数来确定奖品。掷球击倒物品是比较简单的，击倒哪个哪个就是你的奖品。然而，篮板不计算在内，但是如果你和摊主讨价还价，像个小孩子一样使劲在地上跺脚，他很可能会让步，给你奖励。 套圈圈是用竹子制成的大概直径为10厘米的圆环去套住地上的物品，一般来说，摆在后面的物品要比前面的更贵重，但是也更难套得到。
