

On June 19th, it was learned from Changzhou Customs that Changzhou’s foreign trade volume continued to grow, increased by 11.9% in May.
Last month, Changzhou’s foreign trade volume achieved 18.05 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 11.9% and month-on-month growth of 2.1%. Exports reached 13.38 billion yuan, a year-on-year rise of 8.2% year and month-on-month growth of 4.3%. Imports achieved 4.68 billion yuan, a year-on-year rise of 24% and month-on-month decline of 3.7%.
From January to May this year, Changzhou’s foreign trade volume reached 83.47 billion yuan, up 17.8% over the same period last year. Exports made 62.28 billion yuan, an increase of 14.1%. Imports achieved 21.29 billion yuan, an increase of 30.4%. Trade surplus reached 14.09 billion yuan, an increase of 7.2%.
