Bangladeshi citizens who are qualified and able to provide relevant supporting documents can apply for Chinese visas on arrival at its ports.
China is keen to ease its visa processing and allow ‘visa on arrival’ facility to Bangladeshi nationals including tourists and business people, visiting Chinese delegation said on Friday.
The Chinese offer of easing visa was discussed at a bilateral meeting between Chinese Minister and Party Committee Secretary of the Ministry of Public Security Zhao Kezhi and home minister Asaduzzaman Khan at the latter’s secretariat office.

China laid out criteria for the visa on arrival at its ports that apply to foreigners, including Bangladeshis.
“Bangladeshi citizens who are qualified and able to provide relevant supporting documents can apply for port visas at relevant Chinese ports,” spokesman Chen Wei said in a statement on Thursday.
The eligibility includes foreigners who need to enter China “urgently for humanitarian reasons, or who are invited to enter China for urgent business or rush repair work, or have other urgent needs, or who are organised to visit China as tourists by Chinese travel agencies”.
The Ministry of Public Security at the ports is the authority to deal those issues, the embassy said. The duration of stay in that category must not exceed 30 days.
