2017 World Graphene Innovation Conference (Changzhou) will be held under the theme of "Innovations promote development, winning the carbon era together". Changzhou Government organizes graphene product exhibition,achievement show, matchmaking conference, and summit seminar to build a platform for domestic and international cooperation and interaction in graphene technology and innovation and to promote close partnership between research and industrial participants.

7月6日，2017世界石墨烯创新大会将在常州举行。大会以“创新谋发展共赢碳时代”为主题，将举办1场主峰会和石墨烯制备技术分论坛、新能源应用分论坛、热管理应用分论坛、复合材料应用分论坛、常州大学专场等五场分论坛。

2017 World Graphene Innovation Conference (Changzhou) will be jointly hosted by The Provincial CPC Committee of Jiangsu and the Provincial People's Government of Jiangsu. For a part of the 2017 Cooperation Symposium for Top Universities and Institutes, the Graphene Session will be held on July 6-7, 2017, Changzhou, China.

按照江苏省的统一部署，在中国江苏•大院大所合作对接会期间，将于2017年7月6日-7日在常州市武进区举办 2017世界石墨烯创新大会（常州）。

Graphene, the first two-dimensional atomic crystal, possesses superior physical and chemical properties that allow it to be an excellent substitute for many traditional materials and the most promising material for the next great technological leap. The two discoverers of graphene, Andre Geim and Konstantin Novoselov at the University of Manchester, thus were awarded the 2010 Nobel Prize.

石墨烯是二维单层碳原子晶体材料，集优异的力学、电学、热传导、阻隔性等材料性能于一体，可替代传统材料，并能促成众多技术革命，具有不可估量的应用前景。英国曼切斯特大学两名科学家因首次从石墨中剥离出石墨烯而获得2010年诺贝尔物理学奖。

The first graphene research institute in China, Jiangnan Graphene Research Institute, was established in September 2011 in Changzhou. By the end of 2016, 87 companies including 6 graphene material manufacturers and 67 companies for developing graphene's applied products were established in Changzhou. Graphene Science and Technology Industrial Park. Many graphene-related commercial products in the field of wearable electronic devices, heating and cooling systems, anticorrosive coating, pressure sensor, oil-water separation, etc. have been developed. The gross output by the graphene industry in Changzhou Graphene Science and Technology Industrial Park has reached RMB ¥2 billion in 2016.

常州是中国石墨烯产业化的典型代表，起步早，成效好。2011年9月，常州市政府率先成立了全球第一个公益性石墨烯研究机构——江南石墨烯研究院。截至2016年底，常州石墨烯科技产业园已集聚石墨烯企业87家，其中原料制备企业6家，下游应用企业67家。应用领域覆盖气凝胶、抗冲击涂料、智能发热服、超级电容、传感器、雷达等新兴市场，年产值超过20亿元。
