On the morning of August 6, Jiarun Water Treatment Co., Ltd., located in Lijia Town, Wujin District, Changzhou City, was involved in the leakage of waste acid storage tanks.
According to the video circulating on the Internet, a large amount of yellow smoke appeared in the scene. According to the Changzhou Wujin District Emergency Office, the leak occurred at around 9:40 am. It was confirmed that the incident did not cause casualties.
At about 9:40 am on August 6, 2018, the waste acid storage tank leaked from Changzhou Jiarun Water Treatment Co., Ltd. in Lijia Town.
After the incident, the relevant government departments immediately rushed to the scene to deal with the first time to evacuate the employees and surrounding people, and take measures to prevent the spread of waste acid. The site has been basically controlled and no casualties have been caused. The cause of the leak is under investigation.
