

Metro Line 1 and Line 2 began to use new schedules today to better serve the public. Line 1 trains will travel at shorter intervals while Line 2 will start service earlier.
Line 1 trains now travel at a 3-minute-10-second interval on weekdays for Zhongnan Street Station and a 3min-20sec interval for Mudu Station during the morning rush hour and run at 4min-20sec and 4min-50sec intervals each way during the afternoon rush hour.
Weekend intervals are cut by 15 seconds to 4min 50sec between 11am-8:40pm and by 25 seconds to 6 minutes in other hours. First trains on Line 1 leave stations at 6am, Metro officials said.
As for Metro Line 2, trains now travel at an interval of 5 minutes 30 seconds during rush hours and of 6 minutes 45 seconds in other hours. Weekend intervals are shortened to 5 minutes 30 seconds between 11am-8:40pm and to 6 minutes 45 seconds in other hours.
