Chinese carriers will still follow strict flying policies in June as more airlines announced their international flight plan.

China Southern will fly a total of 20 overseas routes per week, including 16 routes from Guangzhou, two flying from Shenyang, one from Urumqi, and one from Shanghai, according to a note posted on its website on Monday.

Among the 20 routes, most go to Southeast Asia with seven routes connecting to Cambodia, Malaysia and Thailand. It still has three flights to Europe including Amsterdam in the Netherlands, Paris in France and London in the UK. In North America, it has Guangzhou to Los Angeles in the US and Guangzhou to Vancouver in Canada.

The arrangement is the same with the one in May, with the addition of a route from Shanghai to Taipei in June.

Korean Air, Japanese airline

It is expected to resume 32 of its 110 international routes from June 1, including Washington, Seattle, Beijing, Shenyang, Shanghai Pudong, Guangzhou, Mudanjiang, Qingdao, Yanji, Ulaanbaatar, Kuala Lumpur, Vancouver and others.

Asiana Airlines

It said on May 14 that it would resume operations on international routes in the Americas, Southeast Asia and China, which were suspended or reduced due to the new coronary pneumonia outbreak, from June.

British Airways

Some long-haul flights to the United States, India, Japan, Singapore, Canada, Hong Kong, China, etc. are scheduled to resume in June. The division also intends to resume flights to two destinations, Shanghai and Beijing.

Lufthansa, Swiss International Airlines

Additional capacity will be restored from early June. Swissair said it plans to resume about 15 percent of its flights in June, with about 140 weekly flights from Zurich to 30 European destinations and another 40 flights from Geneva.

United, Air France, Air Canada, Qatar Airways, Turkish Airlines and Virgin Atlantic have plans to resume flights to China, including those previously scheduled.

These divisions are required to apply to the Civil Aviation Authority in advance to resume flights, pending approval.

The Civil Aviation Administration (CAA) has issued a circular requesting the Air Navigation Division and the Administration to control the scheduling of international passenger flights and the advance sale of tickets to avoid service disputes caused by the number of sold flights far exceeding the actual number of flights executed.

Major Airlines in China

Major domestic airlines have announced their international flight plans for the month of June.

China Eastern Airlines

China Southern Airlines

Xiamen Airlines

Juneyao Airlines

According to the 《21st Century Economic Report》, the Civil Aviation Authority notice requires regional civil aviation authorities and airlines to apply for advance flight plans for international flights one or two months in advance.

The content of the notice indicates that the "five on one" policy will continue to be implemented until at least October. The Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) requires the Department of Aviation to continue to arrange flights in accordance with the "Five Ones" policy and to apply in advance to the CAA Operations Control Centre for advance flight plans.

But will the policy necessarily continue into October? The Civil Aviation Authority says it will give advance notice and make adjustments to the approval process if there is a change in policy.
