
After 4 years of armed conflicts, the economy,society of Syria have been strongly smashed, 2.2 million people died and 40 million people become refugees, more than 60 people lose their living place.
The stuff from the World Food Programme met those refugees in Syria and in the neighbouring country. The following passage is the story they bring:
Do you still have hope?
“We always have a glimmer of hope. ”
Yitabu ( transliteration ) is a mother of five kids from Hama, she`s now living in the Zaatari refugee camp in Jordan. There has received more than 80 thousand Syria refugees.

What makes you homesick?
“I miss the fragance of the pine trees of the forest near our village. When I come back, i will bulid a house there.”
Fouad( transliteration) escaped from Latakia Harbor 3 years ago. Now he and his wife and thier kids are living in the Osmaniye Refugee Camp in Turkey. There has received 9 thousand Syria refugees so far.

What do you miss most?
“I miss my house and kitchen in Syria, i used to cook delicious syria food there.”
Eman (transliteration) is 25 years old. One year before, she and her husband、5 kids, and her new born baby escaped Aleppo through the gunfire with serveral clothes. They are now living in Lebanon, there has received 11 million Syria refugees now.

What do you miss most?
“My friends in the school, i start to forget their names.”
9-year-old Fadia( transliteration) comes from Hama, one year ago she escaped to Lebannon with her families. Since then, she doesn`t go to school, her education and future is facing threat.

What makes you keep hard working?
“Everyone has his own mission.Mine is to do something good against the evil ”
Mohammed Mam is a humanitarian worker of Herz el Naama , that charity organization is one of the co-partners of the World Food Programme in Damascus. 20 years ago, he decided to dedicate to the charity career, bu he didn`t realiaze there`re so many Syria folks needing help.

What`s the plan when you go back home?
“To become a Pharmacist , in this way i can cure the other sick children. ”
9-year-old Alaa is a refugee from east uttar , so many times of escape made Alaa frighten, her immune system was overwhelmed and she got sick. As a result , she wants to become a pharmacist, so that she can help children like her.

What gives you power of moving forward.
“My belief. That`s all i have.”
Mohammed comes from the countryside of Damascus. When the safety situation of his hometown become very dangerous one year ago, he and his five kids escape to Jordan.

War is cruel
We sincerely wish the gunfire can retreat from every corner of the world.
