DiDi driver revealed "plug-in" scam
Mr. Wang originally did the mobile phone business. By chance, a DiDi driver who bought a mobile phone from him revealed that the Didi driver can earn 20,000 or 30,000RMB a month. At first, Mr. Wang did not believe it, but the driver said that he could not do it normally but it would be very easy to use "plug-in".
Later, Mr. Wang also gave up the mobile phone business and bought the mobile phone with the "plug-in" to start to be a Didi driver. Mr. Wang said that if he didn't use "plug-in", he could only earn about 300 RMB a day but could earn 700 or 800 RMB after using that software.
After using it for a period of time, he did not use it any more. He exposed the matter in the hope of reminding passengers not to be deceived again. At the same time, he hoped that Didi will be able to take effective measures to strictly control such happening.
"Plug in" doubles the cab fare
This "plug in" can't be downloaded, it is bought with the phone, about 2,000 RMB each. If someone want to get it, he must be introduced to a WeChat group to purchase.
The reporter used the Didi App to select a location, to hail an express and the app estimated the fare to be 8 RMB. After Mr. Wang grabbed the order and opened the "plug-in", the car did not start but the Didi App to show that the vehicle had started. After that, the GPS showed that the vehicle was constantly changing the line, which did not match the actual position.

After a few minutes, at the destination, Mr. Wang ended the trip, and the cost incurred was 16.09 RMB. The reporter checked the cost details and found that the mileage was 8.6 kilometers, while the vehicle kilometers table showed that the actual distance was only about 1.8 kilometers.
It’s difficult to find the "plug-in"
Drivers who use "plug-in" generally have two mobile phones. Because of the "plug-in", the GPS of the Didi APP will constantly remind that the line is changing, and the position of the vehicle on the GPS will also change. But this "plug-in" phone is muted so it’s hard to find.
