November 13rd, several terrorist attacks took place in the centre of Paris, which caused more than one hundred people died and two hundred people injuried.
The French president Francois Hollande closed the borders of France and declared a state of national emergency. The French military were called into the centre of Paris. France , even whole Europe , will raise the security level, so the speed of accessing France will be slower than usual, and the possibility of deflation visa policy is not excluded.
Consulate General of France in Shanghai said that : Paris is in dark period these days because of the terrorist attack, but the visa policy of France hasn`t change, we still welcome tourists , but at the same time, the security inspection will be enhanced. Moreover, the refugee policy still needs to be negotiated with the EU.
Embassy of China in France said that: There are not any influences about entering or leaving France , as long as you have legal visa and passport. Though the inspection of the border will be very stricty, and the speed will be slower, foreigners are still allowed to entry or exit.
So far, the EU countries are implementing the visa policy of Schengen Agreement, visa holder of any Schengen Country can getting through the whole Schengen area during the valid period . The Schengen Agreement did help promote the tourism industry of the EU, but the terrorist attacts have brought more and more doubts.
After the 911 incident, the USA Visa implemented strict control for a long time. As for Paris Terrorist Acttack , it will drive the EU seriously disscuss the Refugee Problems & Schengen Agreement again.
The industry estimates that French tourism will suffer from a serious setback, even the whole Europe market will be influenced. Serious incidents usually have deep psychological impact on tourists which may last a couple of months. French tourism may need 4~6 months to recover from the terrible explosion.
If you plan to travel to France during Nov.13rd-Dec.13rd, please be informed that:
1. Hold a valid France/Schengen Visa, take your personal documents and ID card with you.
