1. How can I apply for fast track visa trial?
If you submit your completed visitor visa application, between 1st December 2015 and 18th December 2015, you may be eligible for our 48 hour fast track processing trial at no additional charge as part of a one-time test run.
During this period, there will be no change about how and where you should submit your visa application.
Most applications can be submitted in person at your nearest Australian Visa Application Centre (AVAC) or by mail or courier to a designated AVAC. Some applications can be submit at the Guangzhou Visa Office.
The premium fast track service will be available permanently from a date later in 2016.
2. Why wasn’t my visa application processed within 48 hours?
a. Your visa application may not have been processed within 48 hours because it was not eligible to be selected as part of the test-run of the fast track service.
b. Your application may not have been eligible because it did not include all of the required information.
c. Please also note that health, character, and security checks are required for every application. These checks may vary in length depending on your personal circumstances.
d. This trial is only available to a certain number of applicants each day on a first come first served basis.
3. If my application is not processed within 48 hours, how long will it take?
We aim to process 75% of all complete applications within 10 working days. However, actual processing times in China may be shorter or longer.

6. When does the 48 hour time period start?
The 48 hour time period will start once your application is received by the Department of Immigration and Border Protection (DIBP).
Because the application will be transferred to the DIBP office , after being submitted at the Australian Visa Application Centres (AVACs).
Most applications are received by DIBP from the AVACs within 1 to 2 business days however on some occasion they can be delayed.
