In order to safeguard the traffic order and keep from traffic accidents, China has implemented very strict traffic rules to regulate drivers' behaviors.
There are some violations that can cost you your driving license since it'll cost 12 points. And you have to re-take driving classes and exams.
Well, here's good news. China will introduce positive policies to encourage drivers to abide by the laws.
POLICY DETAILS
The Ministry of Public Security of the People's Republic of China (MPS) has issued the Notice of Regulation on Receiving Traffic Safety Education for Point Deduction Relief (Consultation Paper).
Driver who has violated traffic rules and lost points can take classes and exams, and engage in public-services activities to get an exemption up to 6 points.

CONDITIONS
According to the notice, the policy is not available to those who meeting any of the following conditions:
Have more than two full-points deduction records, or have been deducted accumulative 12 points during the scoring cycle;
Have more than two full-points deduction records in the last scoring cycle;
Have been involved in a hit-and-run accident, drunk driving, or have been punished by buying or selling points;
Driving license is overdue;
