Guangzhou issued an important notice yesterday, stating that COVID-19 prevention and control measures will be further tightened between Oct 8 and Oct 20, especially on travelers coming or returning to the city from outside of Guangdong.
New Measures on Coming to GZ
As the 130th Canton Fair will be held next week, Guangzhou will implement stricter COVID-19 prevention and control measures from Oct 8 to Oct 20.
According to the notice issued yesterday, all travelers coming (returning) to Guangzhou from outside of Guangdong province need to conduct nucleic acid test and present health report.
From Oct 8 to Oct 9, all people coming (returning) to GZ from outside of Guangdong via plane, train, coach, or other transport methods, are required to present:
Green health code
Negative nucleic acid test report within 48 hours
Those who cannot present the report need to conduct the nucleic acid test within 24 hours after arriving in GZ.
From Oct 10 to Oct 19, all people coming (returning) to GZ from outside of Guangdong are required to conduct nucleic acid test before boarding.
As for those who come (return) to GZ from provinces where have reported local COVID-19 cases within 14 days, they need to conduct an extra nucleic acid test at the airport or coach terminal after arrival, and report to the community where they live.

Tips for Entering the Canton Fair Complex
If you are planning to attend Canton Fair, please check the following tips and get well-prepared in advance.
Check your info in advance
Since Oct 8, Badge and epidemic prevention information will be checked at every gate of the Canton Fair Complex.
The Badge verification system of the Canton Fair is linked to Yuekang Code (粤康码), which allows real-time check of epidemic prevention information at the entrances.
This includes real-time status of Yuekang Code, negative nucleic acid test result valid within 48 hours in Guangdong, the proof of full vaccination received 14 days before entry to the Complex, signing of the letter of commitment, etc.
Please check the “Canton Fair Certificate Self-check” in the Canton Fair Section in Suikang (穗康) mini-program of WeChat in advance to ensure that the identity information verified on Suikang is consistent with that used to apply for the Canton Fair Badge.
Take nucleic acid tests according to your entry schedule
Participants from outside Guangdong should take a nucleic acid test valid within 48 hours and get a negative report before their departure, and should take another test on the very day of entering Guangdong.
Participants from Guangdong should take nucleic acid tests twice in 3 days in Guangdong before their entry to the Complex.
What's more, as we said above, all the participants should present a negative nucleic acid test report valid within 48 hours in Guangdong every time they enter the Complex since Oct 8.
