Hong Kong expected to quarantine-free travel by November

导读：入境香港可能改为五天酒店隔离加两天居家隔离，甚至是七天全都居家隔离。

香港卫生局局长卢宠茂在周三透露，香港可能会在11月前采取多样化措施来降低境外输入的风险，包括对入境人员进行核酸检测以及禁止进入酒吧等公共场所。

Secretary for Hong Kong Health Bureau, Lo Chung-mau said on Wednesday, Hong Kong SAR might opt for a different approach to lowering the risk of importation of Covid-19 by inbound travelers by November, which could include PCR screenings and a ban from entering public areas such as bars.

在决定调整规定前，海外入境者仍需在酒店集中隔离并向卫生部门通报身体检测状况，未来可能改为五天酒店隔离加两天居家隔离，甚至是七天全都居家隔离。

Before the changes effective, Overseas entrants still need to be quarantined in hotels and report their physical status to to the health department. In the future, it may be changed to five-day hotel quarantine and two-day home quarantine, or even seven-day home quarantine.

7月6日起，为减少出行的不确定性，已宣布暂停了航班熔断机制。从台湾及海外来港人士，凭疫苗接种证明及核酸阴性报告，只需在酒店隔离7天。而从中国其他地区以及澳门返港的居民可申请走绿色通道，无需隔离。

From July 6th, the suspension measures for international flights were canceled, in order to reduce the uncertainty of flights. Those who come to Hong Kong SAR from Taiwan and overseas, only need to take quarantine for 7 days in hotels, after presenting vaccination certificates and negative Nucleic acid testing reports. Hong Kong residents who return from the rest of China and Macao can apply for "Easy procedure" and do not need to be quarantined.

相较于2021年下半年入境隔离期最长达到21天，隔离缩短为7天，未来还可能进一步缩短。

Compared with the quarantine requirement in the second half of 2021, the quarantine has been shortened to 7 days from 21 days. It may be shortened more in the future.

这是不是说明，从香港转机回中国内地会更容易吗？也不需要隔离吗？

Will it be easier for traveling to the rest of China from HKSAR? No more quarantine either?

对于这一点,卢宠茂表示，香港地区短时间内没可能与内地免检疫通关，现阶段提出有关要求是不合理且不可能，有序恢复两地通关仍需要时间。

Regarding that, Lo Chung-mau said that it is impossible to connect Hong Kong and the mainland without quarantine in a short period of time. It still takes time for the orderly restoration of smooth travel between the two places.

按照目前的政策规定，从香港转机回内地的人员，依旧需要提前预定隔离酒店。进入内地之后也需要按照要求隔离，目前内地已经在推行“7+3”隔离措施，相比之前隔离时间也已经大幅缩短。

According to the current policy, int’l travelers entering to the mainland from Hong Kong still need to book a quarantine hotel in advance and also need to be isolated again in mainland. At present, the mainland has implemented the “7+3” isolation measures, which is greatly shortened compared with the previous ones.
