公司取名是个大学问，有其可为与不可为。
Picking a name for a company is a profound knowledge. There are things that should and should not be done.

对于很多外贸行业的朋友来说，都想要开一个香港公司，毕竟香港税负那么低，还换汇方便。
For friends in the foreign trade industry, they might prefer a HK company. After all, the tax burden in Hong Kong is much lower than in mainland and there are less barriers on currency exchange.

一个朗朗上口、美好寓意的好名字，必定是助力你香港公司顺利发展，走向海外的首发一招。
A good name with a catchy tone and beautiful meaning will definitely be of help to your HK company's  development.

但！
But! 
香港公司和大陆公司的取名要求是不一样的！
The requirements on naming a HK company are totally different from a mainland company.

在中国，香港地区和大陆地区奉行的是两套不同的法律体系，对于公司的监管也是不尽相同的。随意取名，还有可能构成违法行为。
In China, Hong Kong and the mainland follow two different sets of laws regarding supervision of companies.

与大陆公司不同的是，香港公司取名，可以是英文名称+中文名称，而且英文名称必须以“LIMITED”为结尾，中文名称必须以“有限公司”为结尾。
Different from the mainland company, the name of a HK company may consist of an English name and a Chinese name. And the English name must end with "LIMITED", while the Chinese name must end with "有限公司".

Attention
公司中文名称必须是繁体字，且必须在《康熙字典》或《辞海》及ISO10646国际编码标准有所收录，不接受简体字。
Note that the Chinese name must be in traditional Chinese characters that are included in the "Kangxi Dictionary" or "Ci Hai" and the ISO10646 international coding standard. Simplified Chinese characters are not accepted.

也可以只有一个中文名，但一般不建议。因为香港公司会涉及很多海外业务，那么海外合作商绝大部分都是不认识繁体中文的啊，所以，公司名称最好是包含主流语种（如英语），也有利于公司的海外拓展。
It can also consist of only one Chinese name. But I will not vote for it. HK companies generally will be involved in overseas business, but most of the overseas partners do not understand traditional Chinese at all, so how could you expect them to remember your company’s name. It is recommended that pick a name including the mainstream language (e.g. English).
"Love"

还有一点不同的是，香港公司取名不会要求包含行业名称，所以也建议尽量不要涉及，不然公司会被定义为相关行业。
Another difference is that the name of a HK company does not require to include an industry name. Then you’d better not to involve an industry, otherwise the company will be related to the industry. Troubles might come to you. 

举个例子，一家取名为ABD TRADING LIMITED的公司，实际上是有货运代理业务的，那么以货运代理业务性质和银行申请开户，银行可能会以“经营业务与公司行业不符”为由拒绝开户申请。但如果公司名称是ABD LIMITED的话，就没有这个烦恼啦。所以在决定公司名称时，也要考虑公司的真实业务以及后期的发展计划。
For instance, a company named ABD TRADING LIMITED actually has freight forwarding business. When opening an account, the bank may reject on the grounds that "the company’s business does not match the industry involved". If the company name is ABD LIMITED, there is no such trouble. Therefore, when deciding on the company name, the company's real business and later development plans should also be considered.



除此之外，公司名称也不能含有与政府部门相关的词汇，这类名称很难获准并注册成功，如：
What’s more, the company name cannot contain words related to government departments, which are difficult to get approval and be registered successfully. For instance:

“部門(Department)”、“政府(Government)”、“公署(Commission)”、“局(Bureau)”、“聯邦(Federation)”、“議會(Council)”、“委員會(Authority)” 


还有一些特殊字眼，必须获取相关同意才能使用。未经许可，擅自使用此类文字作为公司名称，会构成违法行为或者刑事罪行。
Unauthorized use of such special words as a company name will constitute an illegal act or a criminal offense.

“銀行(Bank)”、“交易所(Exchange Company)”、“證券交易所(Stock Exchange)”、“聯合交易所(Unified Exchange)”、“certified public accountant (practising)”、“certified public accountant”、“public accountant” 或英文缩写“CPA (practising)”、“CPA”或 “PA”，或“執業會計師”、“會計師”、“註冊核數師”、“核數師”或“審計師”
