根据中国大使馆的最新通知，从６月８日开始，申请工作签证（Z）凭《外国人在华工作许可通知》就可以申请，不再需要PU邀请函。
According to the latest announcement from China, starting from June 8, foreigners can apply for a work visa (Z) with the " Notice of the People's Republic of China on the Work Permit for Foreigners.", and a PU invitation letter is no longer required.

你可以本人到当地的中国使/领事馆或其他外交使团提交Z字签证申请，无需提前预约，但邮寄的申请书是不接受的。有些国家会设有中国签证申请中心（CVASC）处理签证申请业务，且有可能会接受邮寄申请书。
You can go to the Chinese embassy, consulates or other diplomatic missions in person for a Z visa application. There is no need to make an appointment but mailed applications are not acceptable. If there are Chinese Visa Application Centers (CVASC) in your country, you can go there to submit the application and mailed applications may be accepted in some CVASCs.
1、《外国人在华工作许可通知》
Notice of the People's Republic of China on the Work Permit for Foreigners.
2、 有效期为6个月以上、有空白签证页的护照原件
Applicant's valid actual passport with at least six months before expiry and at least one blank page left in it.
3、《中华人民共和国签证申请表》
One accurately and truthfully completed China Work Visa Application Form.
4、本人照片一张（规格参照护照照片规格），贴于申请表上。
One recent passport standard photo affixed to the Application Form.
5、 新冠疫苗接种证明书
COVID-19 vaccination certificate
持Z字签证人员只允许在中国停留30天（从抵达中国之日起），所以你和你的雇主必须在30天内申请到工作居留许可。临时居留许可有效期从90天到5年不等，但不可以超过劳动合同期限。
This Z visa itself only allows a stay duration of 30 days from the date of arrival in China, during which time you and your employer must seek a Residence Permit for Work for the duration of your contract, to a minimum of 90 days and a maximum of 5 years.
所以，Z字签证只是单次入境凭证，在华停留时间是由工作居留许可决定的。
Note that usually the work visa is a single entry, with the duration of stay that is to be determined by the Residence Permit for Work you get after entering China.
另外，根据现有消息，来华工作人员可以家属同行！随行家属只需要提供关系证明（结婚证、子女出生证等）就可以申请S字签证，同样也是不需要PU邀请函的。
Accompanying family members should apply for an S visa by submitting a proof of relationship, such as their marriage certificate for a spouse, or birth certificate for a child, without a PU letter.
