12月7日，国务院发布通知，宣布进一步优化新冠肺炎疫情防控措施，涉及核酸检测、隔离方式等方面。
On December 7, the State Council issued a guideline announcing the further optimization of prevention and control measures for the COVID-19, involving COVID testing, isolation, etc.
通知要求科学精准划分风险区域，按楼栋、单元、楼层、住户划定高风险区，不得随意扩大到小区、社区和街道（乡镇）等区域。不得采取各种形式的临时封控。
The guideline requires scientific and accurate division of risk areas. High risk areas shall be defined within buildings, units, floors and households, and shall not be extended to residential areas, communities, streets (towns) at will. All forms of temporary lockdown will not be allowed.
不再按行政区域开展全员核酸检测。对与入境人员、物品、环境直接接触的人员、集中隔离场所工作人员、定点医疗机构和普通医疗机构发热门诊医务人员，及商场超市、快递、外卖等从业环境人员密集、接触人员频繁、流动性强的高风险岗位从业人员开展核酸检测，其他人员愿检尽检。
There will be no mass COVID tests in the whole administrative region. Tests will only be required for personnel who have direct contact with inbound personnel, goods and environment, staff in centralized isolation places, medical personnel in fever clinics of designated medical institutions and general medical institutions, and employees in high-risk positions with dense personnel, frequent contacts and strong mobility, such as supermarket, express delivery, takeout service. Other personnel can make their own choice.
除养老院、福利院、医疗机构、托幼机构、中小学等特殊场所外，不要求提供核酸检测阴性证明，不查验健康码。
Except for nursing homes, welfare homes, medical institutions, kindergartens, primary and secondary schools and other special places, people will not be required to show COVID negative results and health codes.
不再对跨地区流动人员查验核酸检测阴性证明和健康码，不再开展落地检。
In addition, people who travel to other regions of China will no longer be tested for COVID-19 upon arrival, nor will they be checked for nucleic acid test results or health codes during their trip, the guidelines said.
奥密克戎变异株致病性明显减弱，经临床观察，感染后大多为无症状感染者和轻型病例，无需特殊治疗。所以，具备居家隔离条件的无症状感染者和轻型病例一般采取居家隔离，也可自愿选择集中隔离收治。居家隔离期间加强健康监测，病情加重的及时转定点医院治疗。
It is found that the pathogenicity of the Omicron variant is obviously weakened, and most of the infected people are asymptomatic and mild cases that need no special treatment. Therefore, asymptomatic and mild cases can choose to be isolated and treated at home when conditions allow or in quarantine facilities. During home isolation, health monitoring shall be emphasized and those who get worse shall be transferred to designated hospitals for treatment.
具备居家隔离条件的密切接触者采取5天居家隔离，也可自愿选择集中隔离，第5天核酸检测阴性后解除隔离。
Furthermore, close contacts of confirmed cases may quarantine at home or opt to go to a quarantine facility for five days. They will be released after testing negative on the fifth day.
