Recently, many old buildings in Shamian have opened to the public! Tourists are no longer standing outside only, but can walk in and have a close look!
荔湾区沙面街道在注重保护的基础上，利用历史建筑设立博物馆、陈列馆、艺术空间、茶社等场所，让老建筑打开“紧闭”的大门，走进大众视野，为社会所用。
On the highlight of protection, those historical buildings on Shamian streets in Liwan District has been transformed into museums, exhibition halls, art spaces, tea houses, etc, letting them come into the public eyes.

沙面南街28号
No. 28, Shamian South Street
沙面南街28号是中国最早开办的保险公司英国于仁保险公司旧址。
No. 28 Shamian South Street is the former site of British Yuren Insurance Company, the earliest insurance company established in China.
沙面南街28号，是一幢新巴洛克式建筑，由著名建筑师帕内于1905年改建，百年前曾作为宝隆洋行。
No. 28, Shamian South Street, is a neo-Baroque building. It was rebuilt by Panet, a famous architect, in 1905. It used to be Baolong Yangxing a hundred years ago.
今年7月，经过修缮活化，这里以合筑·中法建筑文化交流中心的全新身份向公众开放。
In July this year, after renovation, it was newly opened to the public as the of the Sino-French Architecture and Cultural Exchange Center.
该建筑的一楼作为展厅，接连举办“开启设计新场景，探求科创新未来”BIAD华南设计中心八周年作品展览和“数字木构+设计逻辑”展览。游客入内观展的同时，还可以近距离领略百年建筑的风貌。
The first floor of it is used as an exhibition hall, which has successively held the works exhibition BIAD South China Design Center's eighth anniversary in the theme of "Opening a New Design Scenario, Exploring the Future of Science and Technology Innovation", as well as "Digital Wood Structure + Design Logic" exhibition. While enjoying the exhibition, visitors can also appreciate the style of the century-old building at a close stance.

No. 41, Shamian Street
沙面大街41号，沙宣洋行旧址已打造成可以容纳文化艺术、社交茶饮等不同场景的多功能复合文化空间。
No. 41, Shamian Street, the former site of Sassoon Yangxing has been built into a multi-functional complex cultural space that can accommodate different scenes such as culture and art, social tea and so on.
Formerly a bank vault, it is now a unique exhibition space.

沙面大街38号现在被打造成茶室，茶室分为室内、室外两个区域。
No. 38 is now turned into a tea room, which is divided into indoor and outdoor areas.
室外放置几张长桌、圆桌，室内装潢以木色为主，原木色的桌椅、暖白色的灯光，木窗上倒映着斑驳的树影。

No. 58, Shamian South Street
沙面南街58号的原中国盐务副总稽核住宅楼，1912年建成，现在是潮州凤凰单丛茶博物馆体验馆。
The former China Salt Affairs Deputy Chief Audit Residential Building at No. 58 Shamian South Street, built in 1912, is now the Chaozhou Phoenix Dancong Tea Museum & Experience Hall.

位于沙面一街3号的东方汇理银行旧址为全国重点文物A类保护建筑，被称为“沙面第一楼”。
Located at No. 3, Shamian 1st Street, the former site of the Central Bank is a national key cultural relic A-class protected building, known as the "Shamian No.1 Buliding".
位于沙面一街3号的法国东方汇理银行旧址为全国重点文物A类保护建筑。在它屹立于此的百余年间，曾历经多次的使用者更迭，是沙面众建筑中保存得最完好年代最久远的建筑之一。
The former site of Crédit Agricole, located at No. 3 Shamian 1st Street, is a national key cultural relic Class A protected building. In the more than 100 years that it has been standing here, it has undergone many changes of owners, and it is one of the most well-preserved and oldest buildings among the buildings in Shamian.
雕花门窗、雅致长廊、马赛克地板、旋转楼梯、欧式壁炉……沙面一街3号经过几年的保护性修缮，不久后有望向公众局部开放。
Carved doors and windows, elegant corridors, mosaic floors, spiral staircases, European-style fireplaces... After several years of protective repairs, No. 3 Shamian 1st Street is expected to be partially open to the public soon.
