How long is the validity period of your work permit in China left? 2 years? 1 year? Or has it already expired?
Attention! If your work permit is overdue, it's quite possible that you won't be able to get paid!

As we all know, foreigners who work in China must hold a valid work permit. A foreigner who has not obtained a work permit or whose work permit has expired will be considered as illegal employment, and his/her labor relationship in China is not protected by law.

In other words, without a valid work permit, even if your boss doesn't pay you, you can't do anything about it! What's worse, you might be fined or even deported by the Chinese government, which leaves bad effects on your subsequent visa applications.


Employers can directly log in to this website (https://fuwu.most.gov.cn/lhgzweb/) to apply for the extension, and submit the Application Form for Extension of Work Permit for Foreigners in China, employment contract or certificate, visa or residence permit, and work permit for foreigners.
 
However, the online application must be submitted at least 30 days before the expiry of work permit, otherwise the application will no longer be accepted. You can apply as early as 90 days in advance.

After submitting your application, just wait patiently! The results of review will be issued within 7 working days. If the documents submitted are incomplete, the review department will inform you online, so remember to log in to the website from time to time to check if there are any updates.
