As a foreigner in China, whether you're applying for permanent residence, or applying for residence permits for work or study, are required to provide physical examination report. However, your report may not be valid if you don't go to the designated institution for physical examination!

Every city has designated physical examination institutions for foreigners. Here are partial of them:

If you're in other cities and don't know where to go for physical examination, you can check on the International Travel Health Advisory Network.

Warm Tip: We don't recommend cross-city physical examinations. For example, if you are applying for a residence permit in Guangzhou, you better have the physical examination at a designated institution in Guangzhou, not in any other city.

After all, policies may differ from city to city, foreigners who have gone through a physical examination may be required to do it again when applying for a permit in another city.
