Following standards are required for foreigners to work in China:

1. Above 18 years old and being healthy.
2. Having specific skills and working experiences of related job.
3. No criminal record.
4. Having a ceratin employer unit.
5. Having valid passport or other valid international travel documents.

1. A penalty between 5,000 RMB and 20,000 RMB, in severe cases, foreigners may be put in jail for 5-15 days as well.
2. The Public Security Organs can detain the illegal working foreigners for further view, limit their range of activities or deport them.
3. A penalty between 5,000 RMB to 5,0000 RMB for individuals that introduce foreigners to illegal work
4. The companies that introduce foreigners to illegal work will be fined between 5,000 RMB and 100,000RMB, and any illegal income will be confiscated.
5. The companies that hire illegal working foreigners will be fined between 5,000 RMB and 100,000RMB, and any illegal income will be confiscated.
So, what`s the procedure for foerigners to work in China?

1. The foreigners sign the 《Employment Letter of Intent》with the Chinese employer.
2. The employer apply for the 《Foreigner Work Permit》from the local Labor Bureau.
3. The employer send 《Work Invitation Letter》& 《Foreigner Work Permit》to the foreigner after being approved.
4. The foreigners apply for Work visa (Z Visa) from their countries` Chinese consulate.
5. The foreigners sign the 《Employment Contract》with the employer in China.
6. The Employer apply for《Employment Certificate》for the foreigners from the local Labor Bureau, within 15 days after the foreigners`arrival.
7. The foreigners apply for 《Residence Permit》 from the local public security organ within 30 days after arrival.
